26/8/2009 15:53 | FWIW, I'm not going to be bounced out of mine by fears of what might happen further down the line. Directors have a duty of care for their shareholders and if the bid fails I expect Hugh et al will do their level best to attract interest from other miners. Since the bid there have already been other JVs announced in Mali - it is one of the most prospective and mining friendly countries in Africa. Explorers get bought out all the time - it's just a question of what is a fair price - and we are shortly going into seasonally the best time of the year for gold prices. | ![]() pecker1
26/8/2009 15:16 | Thanks haydock and 1waving.I am not accepting unless I have to. | ![]() stenick
26/8/2009 14:50 | Guys, let me recommend that you check out the past weeks posting on iii. Some v. interesting views and advice there. Ive sold mine at @8.8p and not to the GF and related lot. | ![]() bongo bwana
26/8/2009 14:42 | If they bought as stated, where did they come from as the turnover is far less for the last few days.? Is it Loeb or MacQ buying up shares from their friends? | ![]() haydock
26/8/2009 14:25 | This picture is very unclear:Loeb buying more? Again!! | ![]() haydock
26/8/2009 14:12 | Stenick -- It reads quite clearly to me that GF will only pay if the offer is successful -- so acceptances are commitments from the shareholder but GF do not have any obligation unless the offer is successful. Acceptances are one sided. | ![]() 1waving
26/8/2009 14:07 | dogdig, So are mine - also just had a phone call, very polite chap but my answer was "no, 'cos it's derisory offer". | ![]() pecker1
26/8/2009 13:33 | That would be what would happen when it goes unconditional & they have control. As far as I know anyway. They meed 75% for that. | ![]() haydock
26/8/2009 13:28 | If we do not receive your response by the specified date, we will accept the resulting cash on your behalf should the offer be declared unconditional in all respects. Can anyone help. Does this mean they won't accept the offer unless GF gets enough shares? TIA Stenick. | ![]() stenick
25/8/2009 19:51 | A lot of action by Loeb & a long position as well from Davy,a client? They should know the situation if anyone does? Phone calls mounting up, a good sign, close run thing? We are all chasing shadows until September. | ![]() haydock
25/8/2009 19:02 | Mine are all in nominee accounts which could explain why I haven't been called. But if I was, the call would not last long. | ![]() pecker1
25/8/2009 18:55 | They seem to be working hard on this,I only have 10K but I`ve had 3 phone calls! | ![]() harrythehorse

18/8/2009 14:38 | And another one from "the borders" (GEX employed) went and purchased 500k shares in PVR and NOT in GEX some time back !. Now THAT was very fishy in itself.! | ![]() share_shark
18/8/2009 14:28 | A sniper from the borders, no less!!! Not a buachaill to be trifled with i understand. | ![]() bongo bwana
18/8/2009 14:19 | Tom O'Gorman, would not be the least bit interested in Gex, having heard the rumours since just before Christmas. He is always a man who kills two avavians with a boulder and nothing less. | ![]() share_shark
18/8/2009 11:21 | Still I don't think I will ever get my head around this, I'll just wait a see. | ![]() stenick |
