19/4/2006 11:42 | Worth plotting the chart back to 1997 - have to use the old GCM ticker. Anybody got a chart going back earlier than that (when it was Glencar Explorations rather than Glencar Mining) ? Finals must be soon, no? I've just emailed the co. to try to get a date. | ![]() mikehardman
15/4/2006 10:41 | No date publicly fixed Jeff. Id advise against a T trade but understand perfectly where Ur advisor is coming from. That person knows their small gold exploration companys. GEX is not producing. Let me recommend that you check out Glencarmining.ie = GEX website. | ![]() bongo bwana
12/4/2006 09:45 | Well done cestnous but who in Gods name is George Mc Cullough????? The premier under discovered zinc asset in Ireland appears to be in Pallas Green, Co. Limerick under the license held by Minco. But Glencars Stradbally license area must rank up there as having major potential. GEX are rational and clever when it comes to allocating their scarce financial resources and Mali ranks ahead even of Ghana. Interesting news on 2 fronts in Mali not too far away now. The AGM will provide an interesting update on Ghana too. | ![]() bongo bwana
12/4/2006 09:02 | Had an e-mail from George McCulloch this am. I am sure he will not mind me giving a brief synopsis. He has been in Africa until the end of last week They have no immediate plans to drill the Laois target. Although it is technically attractive and the price of zinc is at an all time high, the likely depth of mineralisation on the property is deep, and as such, requires substantial drilling expenditure. He feels that such cash reserves will get a better return from the Mali project and so they are concentrating thier attention there. They are currently seeking a joint venture partner for the Laois project. Seems logical. Nice to see a company that responds to shareolder queries, but I will not be pestering him again unless something really serious crops up, as I am sure he has more to do. | ![]() cestnous
11/4/2006 22:58 | Great response Jacko. You know I like to help when I can - tonight U put a smile on MY face and that helped. | ![]() bongo bwana

11/4/2006 18:58 | True but its not the price of gold that will have GEX bubblin in the near future!!!! Glad to see that Ur keeping a weather eye John. | ![]() bongo bwana
11/4/2006 18:54 | I see the price of gold is bubbling...this looks good for us ! | johndavison
10/4/2006 18:12 | seems strange that someone is either picking or dumping these in 250k blocks at mid price, im not quite sure which though! results must be very soon ;) | ![]() robbi123
10/4/2006 09:38 | TC1 Nothing in the weekend papers as far as I know, but the share price keeps on ticking up and this morning the spread has been narrowed to 11.25/11.50 by the MMS. Seems like they are trying to encourage sellers in order to fill buy orders as you suggest. | ![]() tonudiki
07/4/2006 16:07 | afternoon guys.....nice to see it rising on what look like sells....looks like the MMs have buyers lined up for the stock....still holding...have a great weekend. if anyone sees anything in the papers in Ireland or England at the weekend could you please summarise ? thanks. | ![]() thecynical1
07/4/2006 15:46 | Was waiting for a pull back to top up but it doesn't loo likely so bought more today. | ![]() cestnous
02/4/2006 18:15 | Below is just a reminder from the recent announcement. As the last line says, we should have results during April, but that seems very fast to me. I hope that they are not being over - optimistic. There are several indications that these could be very good. Not long to wait. In addition, with the increasing shortage in Zn inventories and the rapidly increasing price of the metal, any announcement re. the prospective joint venture at the Laois Pb/Zn deposit in Eire would do wonders for the price. John Teeling has recently announced the formation of a new Co. to exploit Irish Zn deposits. He knows a good thing when he sees one but I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw an anvil after the way he dealt with Arcon. "Glencar Mining plc ("Glencar" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that the second phase of drilling on its Komana target in the Yanfolila Project in Mali is due to commence on 27 March 2006. Approximately 2,500 metres of reverse circulation drilling will be carried out, predominantly to test the southerly continuation of the mineralised shear zone within which bonanza gold grades of 55.19 grams per tonne over 20 metres were reported from the first phase of drilling in December 2005. Geological mapping and rock sampling has shown gold grades of up to 36.85 grams per tonne in grab samples taken from recently developed artisanal pits which occur 800 metres along strike to the south and in very similar geological setting to that of the mineralisation drilled in the first phase. Assay results from the drilling programme should be available during April 2006." Onwards and upwards. | ![]() cestnous

31/3/2006 21:18 | ok guys...would anybody care to comment on the last couple of trades which showed up coming up to the close this evening ? pretty serious quantities....but when did they actually go through ? were they large orders which were finished today and hence reported today ? anybody got any ideas ? thanks. | ![]() thecynical1
31/3/2006 13:05 | hi......this is not a written contribution..... ; ) nice to see this stronger again this afternoon.....have a great weekend all.... | ![]() thecynical1
30/3/2006 07:34 | TC1 - Ur in danger of getting tiresome. RELAX, - not all of us make a written contribution on each and every visit! Time is on our side and pateince will be rewarded and richly so. | ![]() bongo bwana
29/3/2006 21:35 | I see that everyone has lost interest here ? bit early to lose interest I reckon......the MMs are shifting the price south on hardly any volume worth talking about......what does that tell you ?????? I think it will be very interesting to see what happens if the buying picks up again..... ; ) | ![]() thecynical1
28/3/2006 16:44 | A protected portfolio transaction or, if reporting a trade resulting from a worked principal agreement for a portfolio transaction. Like a non-protected portfolio, but the price dealt at can be amended if the market maker manages to make a 'good' profit. | lpg_fanatic
28/3/2006 16:44 | Absolutely brilliant info | ![]() rotwein |
