...........so far hanging on for a 0-0 draw. A decent effort, and Cardiff being held by Palace of all people.

I completley understand now, thank you to all of you for clearing that up for me.

Tough game tonight, hopefully Millwal will win - I predict 2-1 to Millwall

I've been told by my Indian Bookmaker that the score tonight is going to be QPR 6 Millwall 0.
Two Millwall players are going to be sent off.
In the 31st and 76th minutes.

...................supercity - yes, of course you are correct there with the maths. Could even be a 2 for 1 on that basis.

1 for 3 at £10 a share would raise approx £1.2m

no where near enough to reduce borrowings increase net asset position and provide working capital imo.

37,600,000,000 shares divide by 100,000 consolidation = 376,000 new shares

376,000 divide by 3 roughly 125,000 new shares multiply by £10 is approx £1.25m.

There seems little point tapping the market for that.

The lower the current share price the more shares they will need to issue.

1 for 1 seems more realistic even at £10 thats £3.75m which would make more sense but still seems low for a club with ambitions for promotion then the market price would naturally adjust on issue.

....clear as mud indeed. How about a 1 for 3 at £10 per share. Italian Donny - you don't lose a penny when the consolidation goes through, only if the share price goes down.

10m shares now equal 100 after consolidation, but the share price rises 100,000 times to compensate.

Crystal clear.

sorry....the point seems to have been missed.

share consolidation is not an issue, not a problem.

its the fund raising i am refering to.

The Fundraising

The Company plans to implement a fundraising by way of an offer of ordinary
shares to shareholders pro rata to their existing share holdings at the material
time. The fundraising will enable the Company to reduce its level of borrowings,
increase its net asset position and to provide working capital for Millwall
Football Club (the "Club"). The details of the proposed share offer are
currently being finalised and will be announced in due course.

What this basically means is that if you own 100shares (just an example) you will be offered the chance to buy more based on your 100 at a discount to market price...my concern is the fact they are not yet telling us how many. It could be 10 per 100, 50 per 100, 100 per 100, 200 per 100 etc etc.

So if you choose not to invest more money when the new shares hit the market for the market cap to remain the same the price will average itself down.

In short the only way to keep your current value is to buy the shares or sell now and buy back post fund raising.

My major concern is this bit " The fundraising will enable the Company to reduce its level of borrowings,
increase its net asset position and to provide working capital for Millwall
Football Club (the "Club"). "

For this amount we are talking several million and with the current market cap being only £8m then 50-100 per 100 would seem the absolute minimum imo.

Its hard to put in writing what i am trying to get across so the obvious is this...if you dont want to take up the fund raising your shares are going down so why hold...just sell and buy back...if you do want to take up the fundraising then theoretically you shouldn't lose out the day they hit the market but you will have more exposure.

clear as mud i know.

I still don't get it, If someone has 20Million shares and then part of the consilidation is to offer 100,000 for every 1 share then don't we loose out????

20Million shares at 100,000 for every 1 = 200 shares at £10 which totals £2,000 which is less that what its worth today...

Have I done my sums right or am I missing something ??? Can someone please explain

i have to agree with supercity and throw caution to the wind, see how the shares level out..but saying that this does feel like it is gearing up for something...just a thought for comparison, how much is manchester united shares worth. and other floated fc's....£10 per share 100,000 for every 1....and they always go down after consilidation, maybe ripe for a take over....lol who knows....millwall have to stay in this league and be at least half way in the table on good reasonable player strength..at minimum. if by a miracle they do well dy december and are atleast 5thspot with a good strong side with out injuries then yes a play off spot would seem possible...imo

market cap of £8m today....after the fund raising it could be £16m, £24m...who knows...why oh why would you announce a fundraising but not issue the details.

Tanfield shares were 30p when they did something similiar only to raise funds at 10p a share.

anyone holding before the rns is on a gamble...you will have to put more money in to the share just to keep your portfolio valuation the same...i would wait until the details are known...especially as their on field performances seem to have taken a dive.
