Gold is hitting 2030 USD an oz, we have our giant next door neighbour moving into the ASX 200 and we have an unknown entity of unknown size looking deeply into our project with the potential for some kind of an investment.

Surprised the share price has been so slow to react with this kind of an environment.

BGL moved into the ASX 200 now that Oz Minerals have been taken out.

The higher the gold price goes, the more ridiculous these gold miners and explorers look in terms of value.

These small cap explorers are going to see daily rises of 20-30% a day as investors start to look at the sector which has been over sold.

"But MILA aren't a gold producer" - anyone with any knowledge of historical gold bull runs will know that the explorers did very well indeed, especially those micro-caps who made a large commercial gold discovery. The dream of all small gold caps:)

Will be interesting to see now what happens here with MILA...

a) Will we see a JV for the Kathleen valley project, which encompasses the acceleration of exploration across all three projects?

b) Will the JV just focus on the Coffey deposit?

c) Will the JV end up being a damp squib and just some smoke and mirrors to try to push the price up to then get a placing away. Will those conspiracy theorists be proven correct?:))

d) Who will the JV partner be? One would suspect the market would take it as a very positive sign if it was a major gold company who came in. Will the company be an already established gold producer in the region, such as BGL or Wiluna Mining?

e) Will the resource upgrade be released before any JV news?

My view, MILA have a very exciting and potentially lucrative license and land package, but they lack the funds to really explore it. Had they have raised 3m or so back when the share price was at it's highs then things may well have been looking significantly different here. The same could be said for many a small cap exploration company and hindsight is a wonderful thing.

If this JV enables the unlocking of the exploration and discoveries then we may see a very strong turnaround here, but will the JV be done on a basis which is beneficial to the shareholders. The management own a significant chunk of shares here so one would think they are aligned to the PI's:)

It's a paradox that while the gold price continues to rise they lack the funds to make further discoveries and risk, at worst, the solvency of the company.

Junior gold mining shares invariably lag the gold price, seagreen. If you had studied gold price and GPM charts like I have you would see that. Take the the gold price bull run from the start of 2019 until it's peak in summer 2020. The GPM share price only took off in Q2 2020 after the gold price had already risen appreciably.
It wouldn't surprise me if the GPM share price never "took off" until the gold price was over $2200.
Regarding SHG I only have a small holding. I'm quietly confident, but with miners, be they mining for gold, or coal, they can always come unstuck; PUR is a classic example.
PS I wish MILA shareholders all the best and hope it comes good for them, however for me it's a case of once bitten, twice shy!
