12/7/2017 07:42 | They're fine. They should rally.....even in these erratic markets.Micro Focus sets out to deliver consistent long-term shareholder returns of between 15% and 20% per annum. The board is confident that medium-term low single digit revenue growth, industry leading margins and strong cash conversion will ensure that Micro Focus can deliver on that strategy. These returns can be further enhanced by the appropriate deployment of capital in value enhancing acquisitions. As promised, immediately prior to completion of the HPE Software transaction, we will declare a return of value of $500m, approximately $2.17 per share, to our existing shareholders. They have also seen their dividend increase to 88.06 cents from 66.68 cents per share last year in line with our twice covered dividend policy." | steeplejack
12/7/2017 07:35 | One word superb. | montyhedge
12/7/2017 07:20 | WOW looks quite promising on first read through of the results. The directors are proposing a second interim dividend in respect of the year ended 30 April 2017 of 58.33 cents per share which will utilize approximately $134m of total equity. The directors have concluded that the Company has sufficient distributable reserves to pay the dividend. It has not been included as a liability in these financial statements as it has not yet been approved by shareholders. The directors announced a second interim dividend of 58.33 cents per share (2016: 49.74 cents per share). The dividend will be paid in Sterling equivalent to 45.22 pence per share, based on an exchange rate of GBP1 = $1.29 being the rate applicable on 11 July 2017, the date on which the board resolved to propose the dividend. The dividend will be paid on 25 August 2017 to shareholders on the register at 4 August 2017. Does this mean there is another Final dividend to come or are they counting the merger distribution as that final sum? I will even unfilter montyhedge to see what she has to say. | enami
11/7/2017 15:52 | Yes hopefully news leaking and they are ok. Aways someone knows more than us, shareprice talks and after the absolute mauling by bears last 7 days is they a ray of light. Down 14% in a week, perhaps they already know, lol | montyhedge
11/7/2017 15:47 | Looks like the figures will be ok.I have complete faith in the leakiness of markets ahead of results day. | steeplejack
11/7/2017 12:05 | sogosit What your guess on tomorrow? | montyhedge
10/7/2017 16:03 | Everyman and his dog short going into these figures on Wednesday, I'm not expecting to much, half decent be nice. Two hedgies short 3.1m shares between them. | montyhedge
10/7/2017 10:25 | Everyone waiting for Wednesday, hedgies seems to think they are going to disappoint bigtime. Let's see. | montyhedge
07/7/2017 11:59 | One thing boys, the weak pound make our payout bigger. At the moment just under $1.28.7.All our calculation at $1.35 | montyhedge
06/7/2017 20:06 | Nervous about the company? That sounds familiar: montyhedge10 May '17 CEO as bet the ranch on this deal, I hope he as not may he first mistake, paying to much for a company that's revenue seems to be falling. montyhedge10 May '17 My target is 2075p. That was for me, a big disappointment yesterday and when priced to perfection, cannot have any slip ups. montyhedge10 May '17 Hedgies short, what timing by Starboard. What a prize ass! | orange1
06/7/2017 19:47 | Why did I sell?Because I lost any feel for the share and given that they have just made a sizeable reverse takeoverI'm nervous that the company might have gone a bridge too far.I'm probably wrong and the rating doesn't currently look overly demanding but the shares have had a good run in recent years and are vulnerable. Also,I freely admit that I don't know much about companies like Micro Focus.Out of my comfort zone. | steeplejack
06/7/2017 19:03 | One day 3.1 million shares as to be bought back by the hedgies. If we get our 200p this year in special and normal dividend and they have not closed their position, then burnt fingers. They are hoping on flowback after the deal. | montyhedge
06/7/2017 17:28 | Is Micro just being played around by the MM's. If you look at the trades they are usually just piffling no's from presumably PI's which you wouldn't think would affect the share price one way or another. | ringer12
06/7/2017 16:25 | Montyblathering still | phillis
06/7/2017 16:02 | SteepleWhy did you sell. | montyhedge

06/7/2017 15:07 | Lol down 14% in a week, hopefully up 14% on Wednesday, back to where we started. | montyhedge
06/7/2017 14:58 | We can go back up just as quickly we went down on Wednesday 12th July, the big day. | montyhedge
06/7/2017 14:55 | And up we go.Pretty inevitable I guess!Yet,when I don't know what's driving a stock,I'd rather not try to double guess.Other fish in the sea. | steeplejack
06/7/2017 11:48 | Turn the clock back one year and Montybilge, our resident idiot, was wetting himself at the thought that Micro was about to enter the FTSE 100. Its share price was about to soar because ¨Trackers had to buy¨. So how long before the little idiot tells us that the price is about to tank because the market cap is falling, FTSE 100 status no longer assured and ¨Trackers have to sell¨? | orange1
06/7/2017 11:24 | Exactly. It could just be a a common or garden squeeze but with techs looking weak worldwide,it's not the time to take the gamble.Your instincts were right a few weeks back Monty! | steeplejack
06/7/2017 11:19 | You could be right, the way they are going, someone knows more than us its seems. | montyhedge
06/7/2017 10:47 | Lol p.e forecast now 15.5 now seems incredible with no rns. Hedgies have Micro by the goulies. | montyhedge |
