15/7/2020 09:40 | Agreed that a bottom appears to be found, or is certainly close. The share price action has definitely changed toward the positive and as suggested the short sellers appear to be supplying big into any signs of a move North. Unfortunately they have a huge hand to play with so unsure how long this could continue before they change their game strategy and let it run. Meanwhile they throw profits into it so it won't last forever. Hold tight. | billwave

14/7/2020 18:39 | Just back from golf, not a lot happening here I see. Barclays recommendation targte 420p and the hedge fund buying 4.88% stake, not made any difference to the shareprice, need a company rns to get the shareprice moving higher. | montyhedge

14/7/2020 16:06 | An intangible asset is an asset that is not physical in nature. Goodwill, brand recognition and intellectual property, such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights etc. Now according to the last accounts, Microfocus generated 500+ new products during the year for which they are likely to hold intellectual property rights. I would like to see the £12Bn down into groups of assets to better understand where the value lies. Interestingly, Microfocus have 40,000 customers, so one would expect them to be on fixed term or rolling service contracts, those contracts are effectively a substantial forward order book and that is also a value that I would like to see and wonder if it is included in the £12bn, I believe that some of the right off was attributed to the value of that forward order book in the post Corona business environment. Anyhows, current share price looks really cheap and oversold - so we'll have to wait and see what happens and hope that the Board are explaining the merits of Microfocus in simple language to the institutions. With two institutions effectively going from zero to 5% that has to be a stronger indicator to a positive future share price | clunes100
14/7/2020 15:53 | there is more write down to come,£12b of intangibles,what does it represent? | sr2day

14/7/2020 11:39 | At the moment it seems to be irrelevant who owns how many because the share price is doing the talking based on fundamentals. | sr2day
14/7/2020 11:18 | Orange1 - you are wrong here I'm afraid as at April 2020 Causeway held no notifiable holding in MCRO (0.22%). | dr knowledge |
