09/7/2020 15:57 | Low for the year, I think they touch 299.95p back in March. The shorting hedges have the champagne corks popping. | montyhedge

09/7/2020 13:27 | Monty - if you believe in the story (even Credit Suisse have this down as a recovery play) then chill for a while. Once the shorters leave (and they will - plenty of others to feed on) or we get a sniff of good news or takeover (they will come - even if in rumour only)and anything approaching normal market conditions, then today's share price will start to look like the bargain of a lifetime. ;-) | dr knowledge
09/7/2020 13:16 | Interesting post on another board. Micro hasn't seem this share price since 2006 so here's how the financials compare. 2006 Revenue:$143m Gross profit $131.5m Operating profit reduced by 44.4% to $22.7m EBITDA reduced by 42.9% to $24.5m Cash $55.9m Current assets $154m v 2019 Revenue: $3.3 billion Gross profit $515.9 m Exceptional costs ($294.2) Operating profit $221.7m Exceptional ($255.8) Adjusted $1.362 billion Cash $576.2m Current assets $14.3 billion Now I don't know if the poster is correct, but puts thing into perspective if his correct. | montyhedge

09/7/2020 08:59 | Take a look at the annual report CFO owns zero shares CEO has got his entire stake through share option schemes. Given the massive shareholder value destruction they won't be getting anything from the option schemes for a while. The CFO has to build up a stake equivalent to 2x his salary. This isn't going to come from option schemes. He will have to buy them. Why isn't he buying now at this bargain price? Oh yes, its because he gets to see the numbers and can see the revenues disappear each month as customers balk at being ripped off and change out their software to another provider. The only director that bought recently was the new chairman who appears to have called it completely wrong. The only good news is that he will be very upset and will no doubt be looking to replace the CEO and CFO........Unless they start to buy some shares and show some confidence and belief in the business. | reddevils1
09/7/2020 07:26 | I suppose it was encouraging Credit Suisse who were the most bearish on Micro, upgraded yesterday. | montyhedge
08/7/2020 23:08 | He knows they have, he is making up stuff now | ozzmosiz
08/7/2020 21:04 | Has the CEO not already? | watfordhornet
08/7/2020 19:53 | I had the unpleasant experience of dealing with this company when one of our systems providers was bought by them. They jacked the price up and I spoke to the CEO and he wouldn’t give an inch. Their model was buy a business and then rip of its customers with price rises. We replaced their software as fast as we could. Looks like others did the same. Don’t touch until CEO and CFO put hands in pockets and buy some shares...... | reddevils1
08/7/2020 19:24 | "You do realise we are in the middle of the biggest pandemic of our generation" Agreed, seems the only sector benefiting from the pandemic tailwinds is tech. If only hocus pocus Micro Focus was in this sector they could have benefited as well, oh wait... | gabsterx
