Yes Hardman research is client company paid for.

Having digested the interim results I will not be putting any Marchpole money back on the table just yet as they really do Not tell me if they can make up for the loss of YSL. I see Hardman value MPH at 136p and considering that this is probably a 'flattering' price then the current share price offers more risk than reward for me and is not the no brainer it was at 100p. Well done those who continue to hold for the long term, you have guts and great staying power.

Some cheap YSL suff on sale here.

argy - AFAIK Shore Capital remain house broker.

NOt sure company paid for HArdman coverage, but they do mention MPH as a client. Possibly as part of the Moda acquisition.

lol.....trouble is their research is paid for by the Company, so hardly independant and no doubt MM would want 80% of your income as commission!

wbj, read the whole research note, they explain this well. They expect an YSL bump (we have seen this in interims) and a fall off.

Interestingly their note makes a relatively low assumption for YSL to Ungaro transfer so their 2007 estimates can be said to be cautious for certain.

Hardman's forecast is 56.2 million revenue for this year, seem on the low side as the Interim revenue was 38.6 million, whats your thought's on what it might be. Appreciated......wbj

Is there an argument for saying it has been 'consolidating' since March? ;o)

It is but a pause for breath. The shares have taken 18% since early November, so some consolidation is inevitable.

Hate to put a dampner on all this good news and optimism but I am amazed that the impact on the share price has been so limited!! Is this still the Michael Morris "we don't trust you" effect or can anyone offer an alternative explanation?

Sounds like they'll use the cash for acquisitions. Good. I hate buy backs.

I wonder if when they will kick in buy back of shares. The authority is to 2.6m shares, about 10% of those in issue.

Brindy is the new Lord Lucan...

Argy, I think on a technicality Morris cant be the new Messiah, given he would not acknowledge there has been one yet...
