28/6/2007 08:00 | I have been a critic of MM in the past but in fairness he has doen a fantastic job looking at those results. I doubt we will see fireworks today but I for one and am very impressed with those figures and the future prospects for the company. | sensei10
28/6/2007 07:57 | Pleasing results, confirms what we all hoped, namely that there is life after ysl and that the management have the company on track. We know that the share price needs rerating but will the market see it that way, how much distrust of MM remains? A pe of around 8 is too low in this sector and with more deals in the pipeline and another small acquisition to come mph is set to grow further. Regards to all long termers who must be delighted to see results like these a year on from some very dark days. | ![]() fozzie
28/6/2007 07:56 | Marben, I am not sure I follow your logic in the last post. I think you are are confusing your balance sheet with P @ L account. At worst the operating profit would be reduced by 2,12pounds million if you disagree with the valuation of the Greenmark assests. Profit would not be 4.1m. | sensei10
28/6/2007 07:56 | Marben100 MPH average profit after tax margin is 9% it would appear that this has been maintained by including the 2.12 million fair value adjustment you mentioned, perhaps a similar amount was spent promoting the new acquisitions and licence agreements and fair value used to balance the books regards wbj | ![]() wbjunior
28/6/2007 07:46 | marben100,on record as saying Marchpoles acquisition of Greenmark together with deals which went before reasons for me buying back into MPH.Major deals since and RNS confirms more in pipeline plus a small acquisition.Greenmar | ![]() lex1000

28/6/2007 07:36 | One thing I don't like: of the operating profit of £10.05m, £2.12m relates to the excess of fair value of assets acquired over conisderation paid. The value of this is entirely dependent on the arbitrary, IMHO, £8m intangible value ascribed to Greenmark client relationships. Without that, profit would be reduced to £4.1m and EPS to just 15p. Hmmmm | ![]() marben100
28/6/2007 07:35 | Cracking results with roce of 42.8%, operating margin of 11% and pat of 9.1% and revenue up 136% . Eps up 69.2% surely a re rating is overdue............. | ![]() wbjunior
28/6/2007 07:33 | I was thinking the same concerning M morris and the word modest or even understated. Maybe the company are changing tack as these figures are doing a lot of the talking IMHO | jason8466
28/6/2007 07:30 | these results are pretty good, but i would have liked an indepth breakdown of sales concerning YSL/Boateng ect. It seems MPH are still on the lookout for further acquisitions so no large rises in the divi for a while lol. all in all i think the future looks a lot brighter than it did 2 yeras ago. | jason8466
28/6/2007 07:28 | Value to be had here and beleive MPH due much earned further re-rating which should continue November onwards.aimvho. | ![]() lex1000
28/6/2007 07:27 | Marben poss use share buy back which was mention sometime back, maybe? | ![]() cosnova
28/6/2007 07:27 | WOW - EXCELLENT. | sensei10
28/6/2007 07:25 | Gearing now minimal (total borrowings net of cash now just £3.71m), net current assets sharply up at £20.5m | ![]() marben100
28/6/2007 07:22 | Good morning marben100.Look forward H1 in November with YSL stripped out. | ![]() lex1000
28/6/2007 07:22 | As a non-holder who has done nothing more than skim a few RNSs and BBs, the main issue seemed to be: can MPH get over the loss of YSL and find ways to restore the top and bottom lines to good comparatives with a healthy outlook? The board says 'yes' and the performance y-o-y looks quite impressive. | polzeath
28/6/2007 07:18 | We are currently in negotiations for both new licensing agreements and for a modest acquisition which we hope to conclude in the current financial year. | ![]() marben100
