May possibly explain why share price has been held back and large blocks of shares which went through the other week.

January 2004:-

"Santa Lina S.A. have agreed not to dispose of any of their Marchpole shares for two years."

Well, they kept them for nearly 18 months longer than they needed to, but why sell now?

There are no trades showing anywhere to account for the price jump!

Mcartdon, probably get the best and clearest picture come interims in November 2007.

Post 1226 sums up current position leading up to end of June results:

marben100 - 1 Jun'07 - 10:54 - 1226 of 1236

Hardman, provide good coverage about MPH in newsletter and research notes. Hoping to hear from both Momentos and Matt come results.Please..........please...

Think current share price is very low.More experienced number crunchers who have passed 'rule over' MPH suggest true value lies somewhere between 300p and 400p but may take some patience to get there.

Market should wake up more to Marchpole between June and November.Funds loaded up lower down and Barclays recently has been accumulating.Savvy funds and long term holders at that.

Those that write have highlighted that MPH overdue re-rating, trading at discount to it's peers.Believe article appeared in Telegraph suggesting MPH a buy.Brought in buyers some of whom sold (at a loss) when share price fell back at bit and did not quick returns.May take breakout above 200p,however,highlights MPH undervalued.Risk downside is low and plenty potential to the upside.Investors growth and income share.MPH on the up.Potential to double some think.aimvho.dyor.

Just re-read the interesting MPH chart analysis by Fingers on his £1 thread(12 May).....well we retraced a bit from the 190's peak, settled down for a rest at 180 and hopefully gathered strength for a good push up now pre results.
If we can get through the £2 then there looks to be a lot more to come.

Marben, results are going to be a big mix of new company with tail end of old i.e YSL.Probably too complicated for the likes of me!lol

Genuine excitement as believe MPH currently undervalued, awre of huge potential going forward knowing that 300p-400p plausible and 500p is possible.Reasons for holding and holding long term.

Kneath,in a way most of us 'know what to do.' Easier said than done.End of day what's comfortable and 'works' for you.I'll share this with you;biggest undoing has been combination inexperience, foolishness and greed.Greed putting 100% of eggs in one basket.Learn from mental emotional stress, financial loss and loss of confidence watching either basket fall from a height and or losing nerve panic selling!

Therefore there are plusses & upsides to spreading risk across several stocks and sectors.Know yourself and get psyche right first.

Yes in theory we all could make millions but in the rush risk losing it all.Balance of making 'enough',safety and preserving capital at all costs.

Changed late 2006 reducing to fewer stocks namely CCT & MPH (PKW & ARG sold).PET is speculative punt but only 5% of porfolio.CCT has dropped from highs of lets say 207p,MPH dropped highs of 190p-193p and PET way off from 79p.

All above long term holds, expecting higher highs.Time will tell.

regards lex ;o)
