08/7/2019 09:38 | Asset management side worth +10p above stated nav. hxxps://www.edisongr | weatherman
08/7/2019 09:10 | Bought in here recently and happy with the results and where they are heading. These first came to my notice with the IC article but unlike a number of PIs I research the company after the article is published and if IF I take the next step (buying the shares) I accept that it was MY decision. One point made in the IC article that appears to show up in the results is that no asset value is being given to the asset management business. From memory the IC article suggested that this business is worth c. 24p/share. The large discount to NAV looks to be even greater than the substantial figure given. The asset management is in the books at £2.5m goodwill charge on the acquisition in 2014!! Goodwill (£10m see note 9))+ Portfolio + cash = £122m = 40p ( Obviously I stand to be corrected especially by longer term holders.) | pavey ark

21/5/2019 07:57 | Clinically clinical, well, well, well. | redartbmud
21/5/2019 07:50 | In today's news, Mercia has now described Medherant as a "clinical-stage company", so things are indeed quite advanced! | wan
15/5/2019 08:00 | Hopefully another good investment :-) | cheshire man
10/5/2019 08:01 | There has been some very encouraging news flow regarding sodium-ion batteries of late, so watch this space and Mercia's portfolio company Faradion, who is currently leading the field in sodium-ion battery technology. | wan

28/3/2019 08:25 | It's hard to not be impressed with Oxford Genetics, but the market doesn't appear impressed with Mercia's deal of a reduced stake. However, Mercia's reduced interest of 33.3% in OG is worth circa £1m more than the 40.5% stake at the half year. Furthermore, would it be right to assume that such a reduced stake is also easier to manage (by eventually getting below 30%) ahead of the possibility of OG listing? | wan
28/3/2019 07:38 | Indeed wan,,,,,so much to look forward to here :-) | cheshire man
28/3/2019 07:31 | Another impressive update regarding Oxford Genetics as it goes global and enters the next phase of growth. | wan
12/3/2019 08:00 | Looking good Peter Dines, Chief Operating Officer at Mercia and a non-executive director of Concepta, said: "Securing a partnership with such a leading retailer as Walgreens Boots Alliance is validation that Concepta has developed a product with significant commercial appeal. This new partnership will play a pivotal role in myLotus(R) being more widely available across the UK and overseas." | cheshire man
12/3/2019 07:55 | Given today's news for portfolio company Concepta, it was a 'fortuitous' mention in the FT, what next then for mentioning/covering Mercia itself? Hopefully, that the current trend of positive news flow and share price trajectory will persist! | wan
09/3/2019 07:07 | More media coverage for both Mercia and another one of their portfolio companies, Conepta, this time in the FT - 8th March 2019 Small-cap focus Health Care Tech helps small players break into healthcare market Medical device start-ups must go far beyond proof of concept even before they have built a customer base | wan |
