Another very positive update from Oxford Genetics....if OG was listed, investors would be very pleased and impressed with that update. In short, we have over 40% of a very valuable business that's in high growth mode!

Indeed and one notes some of the 'very large global' players some of those companies are serving!

Very useful. Look forward to an exit proving sci warehouse was an outlier.

Me too. 21% portfolio concentration in software and internet which is growing at a fast pace. Happy to have added more last year.

An excellent portfolio update today, with impressive revenue growth across the Software & the Internet Portfolio, with more to come and I further note managements confidence in this regard -

"confidence that we will be able to create significant shareholder value and realise profitable cash exits from both portfolios in the near to medium term."

The following news brings into focus my previous comments regarding one of Mercia's emerging stars, Faradion -

Oil Supermajor Shell Acquires Sonnen for Home Battery Expansion

The German startup has already reached thousands of homes. With Shell’s capital it could reach a whole lot more.

JULIAN SPECTOR FEBRUARY 15, 2019

Shell will acquire German startup sonnen, staking a claim on the home energy storage market and further expanding its ever-increasing footprint in the clean energy industry.

Arguably a hot sector!

It never stops.
Merc will be presenting at the Sharesoc event in Edinburgh on 20 Feb.
They never miss the chance of a relatively inexpensive event, where they can drum up trade.

Not sure it was ever a good vehicle for the public markets.
I hold and live in hope as a punt. No glory in this one yet no matter how undervalued.

The only way they can move this forward, for shareholders, is to pay dividends, and they CEO told me personally that dividends are not part of the financial model for the business.

Usually I'd sell into an ST ramp, but not sure I'm b/e yet :) Disappointed he's only ramped one of my punts, usually get a few out of him.

I agree. As a shareholder, I see nothing in the business model that provides for any returns to shareholders.
Any revenue/profit is divvied out amongst the executives and advisors.
