Partly OT - Interesting to note that Centerra Gold have had some success with the Kyrgyz Republic agencies in recent weeks and have received the full approval of their 2014 mining plan, also separately Stans Energy have had some good news recently that the Arbitration Court at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry has made a "final binding ruling" on its dispute with the Kyrgyz Republic's government,.....IMHO that would appear to be heading towards a negotiated settlement

Perhaps Mentum's/Tengri's timing was not so far out after all?........GL S

Name change and new epic now in effect........GL S

"Change of Name"

"Further to the approval by shareholders at its annual general meeting held on 14 July 2014, the Company is pleased to confirm that its change of name to Tengri Resources has now become effective on the London Stock Exchange. Accordingly, the Company's TIDM (ticker symbol) has also changed to TEN."

"For the avoidance of doubt all future correspondence will be under the name Tengri Resources."

More news due from Robust this evening in relation to Manganese assets, will post later on.....GL S

Edit to include Robust update in relation to high grade Manganese assay results, confirmation of A$10M to advance various projects, brief comment on Stanhill and Mentum, it will be interesting to see if the Salim Group are stirred into action in the days ahead?

Hong Kong's Stanhill hikes bid for Robust Resources

MAGGIE LU YUEYANG

DATAROOM MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS INDUSTRIES RESOURCES AND ENERGY

Stanhill Capital Partners, an investment firm based in Hong Kong, has increased its bid for Sydney-based Robust Resources by 12 per cent in a push to own the junior gold miner, which the offer now values at $61.5 million.
Stanhill has increased its bid price from 28 cents per share, made on July 1, to 31.5 cents per share and has accumulated a total 19.9 per cent stake in the miner, the company said in a statement.
Robust Resources, with gold, silver and copper assets in Indonesia, Kyrgyz Republic and the Philippines, is in the process of a reverse takeover of Mentum Inc, a listed company in London's Alternative Investment Market (AIM). The deal has just been approved by Mentum shareholders earlier this week.
Under the agreement with Mentum, Robust will sell its gold and copper assets in Kyrgyz Republic to Mentum and then hold an 87.3 stake in Mentum, which will subsequently change its name to Tengri Resources and focus on Central Asia.
It is believed miners with a Central Asia exposure will have better valuations on the AIM.
Robust counts one of Asia's richest man Anthony Salim as its biggest shareholder, who owns about 20 per cent in the company through his investment vehicle.

Stanhill upping the anti in Robust TO, offer increased to A$0.315c and they also take their holding to 19.9%, difficult to see their bid not succeeding.....GL S

Personally (I don't hold, don't short and don't want to put a damper on things), but after seeing the AIM market so obviously 'played' by FSU con artists at Sunkar, Leed, etc, I would never invest in anything tied to a Kyrgz, Uzbek, Kazak, etc company - unless a name like Abramovich was involved. This is Russian Mafia territory as far as I'm concerned!

Robust, according to their fact sheet, has a total Market Cap, including the Kyrgyz assets, of AU$42m ... so how can Mentum, after snapping up a proportion of the Robust business, justify a £30m+ valuation (AU$54.5m)?
Could end in tears this one.

And to think that somebody was claiming that this deal was off a few weeks back as a consequence of the Stanhill offer, clearly their ability to conduct real research falls well short of their level of arrogance - you know who you are and s not Treacle.

Adrian - I have noticed the same problem - No significant trade going through, just a few small one's - yet we are starting to see share price movement.
Could be an interesting afternoon - GLA, maybe we may finally see some movement

Now the AGM is out of the way, I would not be surprised if the ROL BOD make an announcement in the days ahead, in relation to the Stanhill approach, I would be equally not surprised if they don't come out in favour of the bid,...Another question will be....what vehicle will Stanhill use for the bid?........GL S
