B+, given our brand new Mini Countryman turns the cruise control on every time I turn the heating on, that sounds like a bad idea! But Porky is a brilliant investor and made a bigger capital gain yesterday than I earn through my 'huge salary' in a year!

Re solenoid steering, a computer glitch could have you going in possibly 4 directions at once on 4WD!!!

Porky will be proposing levitation next. Solenoid steering sounds rather unsafe. I’m also worried about braking. Mechanical braking will be needed as a fail-safe.

His current design sounds like a couple of primary school kids have designed it. And dangerous.

Melrose Industries announces today that it has agreed to sell Walterscheid Powertrain Group, (previously known as GKN Off Highway Powertrain), a leading provider of original equipment and aftermarket parts and services for off-highway powertrain applications to One Equity Partners a US-based private equity firm. In addition, Melrose announces that its subsidiary, Fokker Aerospace B.V, has completed the sale of its minority 43.57% interest in Société; Anonyme Belge de Constructions Aéronautiques (SABCA), which manufactures components for aircraft and space launchers, to SABCA's majority shareholder, Dassault Belgique Aviation S.A. The sale of Walterscheid is subject to the customary regulatory conditions and is expected to complete in the first half of this year. The combined net proceeds of the sales are approximately £200 million.

If you had bothered to read my posts properly you would understand that I proposed steering is implemented by a solenoid type device or something similar.

The motor at each wheel will be smaller than one motor that needs to drive all wheels. You can eliminate all the weight of the drive shaft and differentials etc..

Polytechnics couldn't award their own degrees, it was done by an external council. Here is a wiki quote: "The CNAA, through its many subject panels, oversaw the degree-awarding powers of polytechnics. Above all, the CNAA saw itself as preserving a comparability at the national level with degree level awards in universities"

Apparently my degree was good enough for IBM R&D and another 1st class employer - I am not going to say which. The upshot of all this is I can easily push aside a view from a pathetic nobody such as yourself. ☺️

I think getting is a little rusty on his maths. I studied degree level maths as part of my electronics degree. I'd be more than happy to discuss discrete cosine transform affects on time sampling if he wants to.

Whatever it is the probability of you earning more in a year than my gain is very slim. You aren't very bright so your salary is probably more bonus driven than base.

When I referred to a salary as "huge" it was in the context of average/modal annual household income which you seem to have little idea of. Even though I have realised big gains over the years my wealth hasn't detached me from reality unlike you. You stated you have experience in statistics yet seem to have problems with average versus modal.

I think you are a little agitated as you can't refer to me by my proper alias.
