06/3/2019 08:51 | I believe Porky takes his inspiration from Heath Robinson. | brexitplus
06/3/2019 08:44 | B+, given our brand new Mini Countryman turns the cruise control on every time I turn the heating on, that sounds like a bad idea! But Porky is a brilliant investor and made a bigger capital gain yesterday than I earn through my 'huge salary' in a year! | gettingrichslow
06/3/2019 08:18 | Getting, being a superior engineer perhaps Porky will post a picture of his design on his profile page!!! Re solenoid steering, a computer glitch could have you going in possibly 4 directions at once on 4WD!!! | brexitplus
06/3/2019 08:11 | Solenoid steering?! Better hope there's a back up power supply or three! | gettingrichslow
06/3/2019 07:54 | Stmartin Porky will be proposing levitation next. Solenoid steering sounds rather unsafe. I’m also worried about braking. Mechanical braking will be needed as a fail-safe. His current design sounds like a couple of primary school kids have designed it. And dangerous. | brexitplus
06/3/2019 07:18 | MELROSE INDUSTRIES PLC Sundry Disposals Melrose Industries announces today that it has agreed to sell Walterscheid Powertrain Group, (previously known as GKN Off Highway Powertrain), a leading provider of original equipment and aftermarket parts and services for off-highway powertrain applications to One Equity Partners a US-based private equity firm. In addition, Melrose announces that its subsidiary, Fokker Aerospace B.V, has completed the sale of its minority 43.57% interest in Société | brexitplus
06/3/2019 06:13 | ......and yet more drivel! | melmoo
05/3/2019 23:21 | stmartin If you had bothered to read my posts properly you would understand that I proposed steering is implemented by a solenoid type device or something similar. The motor at each wheel will be smaller than one motor that needs to drive all wheels. You can eliminate all the weight of the drive shaft and differentials etc.. Count yourself lucky I answered you. | minerve 2
05/3/2019 23:13 | @ Minerve "If it is four wheel drive some wheels could be simultaneously being used to generate power whilst others are delivering it whilst it facilitates grip " So you reckon that steering is going to be like in a tank, by braking one wheel ? Very efficient that ! " Only needing to drive one wheel each would make them considerably smaller too. " Smaller than what ? For someone who reckons he is informed, you know as much as the bloke who cleans the public bogs. | stmartin
05/3/2019 23:11 | Polytechnic of Wales 3 Unknown university 0 He is SO PROUD of his university he can't tell us which one! ROFLMAO! | minerve 2
05/3/2019 23:03 | getting It is affects and I mean that - affects, not effects. Perhaps it is you who needs educating! Polytechnics couldn't award their own degrees, it was done by an external council. Here is a wiki quote: "The CNAA, through its many subject panels, oversaw the degree-awarding powers of polytechnics. Above all, the CNAA saw itself as preserving a comparability at the national level with degree level awards in universities" Apparently my degree was good enough for IBM R&D and another 1st class employer - I am not going to say which. The upshot of all this is I can easily push aside a view from a pathetic nobody such as yourself. ☺️ | minerve 2
05/3/2019 22:52 | You went to a poly Porky! Not a real degree in my book. And it's 'effects' not 'affects'. You'd know that if you'd had a proper education! | gettingrichslow
05/3/2019 22:48 | I think getting is a little rusty on his maths. I studied degree level maths as part of my electronics degree. I'd be more than happy to discuss discrete cosine transform affects on time sampling if he wants to. | minerve 2
05/3/2019 22:44 | getting's claim to have an S level in maths is not consistent with the tortuous process required in making him grasp the mathematics of Melrose's last rights Issue. | meanwhile
05/3/2019 22:19 | Reference Yertiz, getting and brexitplus: Okay, I know this is an emotional moment for all of us, okay? I know that. But let's not make snap judgments, please. This is clearly... clearly an important species we're dealing with and I don't think that you or I, or *anybody*, has the right to arbitrarily exterminate them. | minerve 2
05/3/2019 22:17 | Have you ever been mistaken for a man? LOL | minerve 2
05/3/2019 22:12 | So that's 3 times you've ducked the question Porky! Conclusion? Same as before - you're an unemployed alcoholic full of talk and not a lot else! ROFLMAO!! | gettingrichslow
05/3/2019 22:11 | Sorry melmoo, what else do you expect for free loading? | minerve 2
05/3/2019 22:11 | Well melmoo, you've only ever posted 3 times. 2 of them are your posts in the last ten minutes about drivel. Your only other post was drivel saying 'let's hope for some upward price movement'. Great stuff and really insightful! | gettingrichslow
05/3/2019 22:04 | .........and yet more drivel. | melmoo
05/3/2019 21:57 | Does anyone ever talk about Melrose Industries on this thread? I'm sick of reading absolute drivel. | melmoo
05/3/2019 20:55 | Whatever it is the probability of you earning more in a year than my gain is very slim. You aren't very bright so your salary is probably more bonus driven than base. When I referred to a salary as "huge" it was in the context of average/modal annual household income which you seem to have little idea of. Even though I have realised big gains over the years my wealth hasn't detached me from reality unlike you. You stated you have experience in statistics yet seem to have problems with average versus modal. I think you are a little agitated as you can't refer to me by my proper alias. | minerve 2
05/3/2019 20:34 | So what are you assuming my annual salary is Porky? Go on, bearing in mind that you were only telling me a few weeks ago that a salary greater than £100k/year is 'huge'!! Bet you won't answer that question!! | gettingrichslow |
