26/9/2018 14:42 | Thanks Losos. Mrs Losos obviously has good taste in choosing your Newfoundlands, and if I may be so bold, in choosing you, a real gentleman. Sadly there are some on this board who if I said “Black is black” would automatically say “No, Black is white.” I pity them. Still I suppose there is nothing better to do up there in Bandit Country. Anyway, I am still waiting for proof that I have given any predictions, other than the interim and annual report day finish share prices, always a bit of fun. As you will remember minerve was horribly wrong first time when MW didn’t give a price, obviously due to total lack of confidence in his calculations, when I won by putting my finger in the air and making a good guess, and I was wrong the second time when I believe Mattboxy won the competition, and neither MW or minerve took part. Also, I am still waiting, as I am sure you are, for the Definitive Guide to Small Company Investing. Oh well, off for those blackberries. I still have some crumble from last night - it was a huge dish. A vegetarian pasta tonight. | brexitplus
26/9/2018 12:10 | Of course you would recover quickly from a sharp edged bone cut. Just discomfort for a day or two. | meanwhile
26/9/2018 12:06 | I hate cats. Worse than sheep for leaving a mess. Give me dogs any day, preferably a Golden Retriever or Collie. Nothing against Newfoundlands Losos. | brexitplus
26/9/2018 12:01 | getting, watch out for the sharp edges on those bones. If you are affected, try a Strepsil or equivalent generic lozenge. One of our cats once cut its mouth on a beef bone. | meanwhile
26/9/2018 11:48 | Apologies. I meant the last post to be from vhs. | meanwhile
26/9/2018 11:47 | MW, jealousy re my crumble will get you nowhere. And what predictions have I made? | brexitplus
26/9/2018 11:35 | Hvs, has you had any apples? Or just sheep poo is it? | gettingrichslow
26/9/2018 11:33 | We've had some amazing peaches this year from the garden and lots of pears and raspberries but no apples whatsoever for some reason, no idea why? | gettingrichslow
26/9/2018 11:30 | "Pear and blackberry crumble was absolutely delicious. Pears and blackberries all from within 100 yards of home and FREE. Plenty left for tomorrow. Whoopee!!!" Wonderful. Now that is true 'sentiment'. | meanwhile
26/9/2018 11:07 | Hi Losos, hope you are well. Will be picking more blackberries this afternoon. We also have lots of sloes for sloe gin, and brother in law has damsons for damson vodka and jam. We’ve had a bumper crop of French beans and tomatoes but salad and courgettes a bit disappointing this year. Sadly our garden isn’t big enough for a fruit cage. We grew raspberries and gooseberries when we had an allotment. How are the dogs? | brexitplus
26/9/2018 10:34 | B+ - "Pear and blackberry crumble was absolutely delicious. Pears and blackberries all from within 100 yards of home and FREE. Plenty left for tomorrow. Whoopee!!!" Yes, one of my favorite deserts, there's a small dirt track near us which has loads of blackberries, the wild ones do seem to have a 'special' taste, I also grow a couple of the newer varieties (Reuben & Loch Tay)but although they have much bigger berries they don't have quite the same taste as the wild ones. | losos
26/9/2018 10:33 | Agree getting. But this is typical behaviour of mathematical geniuses. In fact they are very often very boring people trying to be clever. | brexitplus
26/9/2018 10:06 | Ryelodge rarely gets back to anyone when he is asked a question that challenges his intellect. He still hasn't answered why he is still a holder of MRO given his dissatisfaction with the share price performance. Maybe he will have to go into his sinister 'hvs' character to muster a plausible answer?! | gettingrichslow
26/9/2018 09:58 | Funny you should mention roast beef. We have been given a large piece of sirloin by a friendly farmer (he also has 500 sheep!!!). Will be eating it on Sunday with family. Big Yorkshire puddings. You never did get back to me about the predictions you seem to think I made. Getting is a fine fellow. He has plenty of cash to feed himself, and I would like to meet him sometime. | brexitplus
26/9/2018 09:44 | brexit, what you need to do today, to cheer yourself up a little, is to have a really big roast beef dinner, say 3 pounds of rib of beef, with your favourite gravy. Since you claim to have no dog, take that fellow getting with you, to chew on the bones. Leave a little meat on them for him otherwise he might become aggressive, or he might just sulk and be uncooperative. Getting can also help with the inevitable spillages of gravy onto the cravat or blazer lapels; there's bound to be a bit of drooling at your age. Have getting use a damp, lightly soaped sponge for this, no harsh detergents. Tell us all about it when you get back. | meanwhile
26/9/2018 09:43 | Oh dear. Bad day for the AA. Profits tumble. | brexitplus
25/9/2018 20:28 | Getting, totally agree. Not very subtle or clever for a “mathematical genius.” Poor old Zimmer’s finger tips must be very sore. He has been non-stop on Lloyds all day. What a sad way to spend one’s life. Pear and blackberry crumble was absolutely delicious. Pears and blackberries all from within 100 yards of home and FREE. Plenty left for tomorrow. Whoopee!!! | brexitplus
25/9/2018 20:28 | Hey hvs, how's the second home in Colorado? Is you doing one of your calculations soon, is you? | gettingrichslow
25/9/2018 20:26 | First he creates 'Ryelodge' then this sinister character 'hvs' - and of course it's all a distraction tactic because he can't explain why he still holds £250k in a company that is 'going nowhere' - the only rationale conclusion is that he hasn't got a plausible answer! | gettingrichslow
25/9/2018 19:50 | You idiots. These sinister messages from hvs have nothing to do with me. Only idiots like yourselves would think of such deceit. | meanwhile
25/9/2018 19:41 | Getting, aren’t you amazed that hvs always pops up when MW HASN’T GOT AN ANSWER!!!! | brexitplus
25/9/2018 18:28 | Be very very very careful here. | hvs |
