This could be you two fellows, if only you would try.

"I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you."

Of course you read. But not anywhere near as much as me and perhaps also not enough. You are a simple man, of simple life, and with it easily pleased, and ignorance makes you happy. I would stay there if I were you. Reading as much as me gives me a greater understanding of reality and greater empathy towards it. Life in this case isn't easy to maintain continual happiness, but it is much deeper and way more meaningful.

Yeriz - "MRO picking up nicely towards the top end of my expected channel"

Oh no, I am looking to add to bring my holding up to a meaningful number (for me) guess I'll just have to be patient haha.

Hope all (bar one) had a good weekend, I'm betting that we won't see an early May Bank Holiday like this one for a few years, hope all the BBQ's and Scalelextrix and outings went well.

Yertiz, I like your Value Channel. Trading Update will tell, probably Thursday.

Did you know I can read too. But not 24 hours a day. One would think that if someone is super intelligent and knows everything there would be no need to read at all.

B+, there'll be no Get Well Soon cards from Minerve (too busy reading 'The Onion' and being super intelligent and Trump-like), or Meanwhile whose milk of human kindness has turned to rank cheese.

Looks like there's life in the old girl yet - MRO picking up nicely towards the top end of my expected channel, or for the more gifted mathematicians on here - the Range, of valuation. Any close above 235p will be significant, IMHO - this is the current glass ceiling which the share price needs to crash through to progress. Onwards and upwards.

Good evening.

Mattboxy, I can now add you to my list of common imbeciles contaminating this site. Your post is completely irrational.
I expect you are simply a vulgar ignoramus, with no understanding whatsoever of Minerve's history and achievements.

Thank you for the day trading advice.

No, Melrose Directors performance fees and NHS funding are not correlated. Apples and pears.

Scalextric again this week and beginning cycling again after the winter. Must get properly fit.

I never blamed Melrose for a lack of money in the NHS - they are just evidence of a systemic failure in current crony capitalism, and they ARE linked, though not directly.

Golden years. How old do you think I am?

Such arrogance. You are obviously not reading about good manners.

You may not realise it minerve but you are an incredibly boring person.

I would have thought brexitplus that you might be a little more amicable, even though we have differences of opinion, considering I helped you with some advice on day trading.

I think you, like some others on here, are intimidated by my intelligence. Don't try and compete with me - you'll never win. For a start I put considerable more time into investing. When you are playing scalextric - I am reading. When you are walking - I am reading.

20 years and 24/7. It is part of me. It is part of who I am. Your economics, business and finance knowledge really is no match for mine. I am an oracle.

A lot of people don't like me because I am right and say the truth. Lots of people don't like to hear the truth. Sorry that it hurts your little bubble, but please carry on, don't let reality affect your golden years.

Minerve, replying to Yertiz about U.K. equities being cheap. Nothing to do with you.

Yertiz and I have some common interests, unlike you and I.

And? The point is?

My other half made some icecream, that did well too!

Hi Yertiz
Our BBQ was excellent.

Melrose AGM on Thursday and trading update on the same day.

Telegraph says Phil Swash is going but he has only been CEO of Driveline since 2015. I’m sure there are plenty of talented senior managers to take over.

I have some U.K. income investment trusts which over the years with dividends reinvested have done well.

Re MW I have no interest in his views or calculations, such as they are.
