Worth reading. Not sure how up to date this page is.

The Tailing project would hopefully be an easy project to kick off whilst further exploration is undertaken.

Need to get that mill working at full capacity. That is the key to really getting the share price towards A$2.

Interesting vid

Can we not truck ore from Bananghilig ? What happened to Bananghilig ?

At 4.10 he talks about lots of other exploration targets ?

Chip used to provide very detailed coverage on this stock 10 years ago.
I am looking through the mists of time but I suspect the share price was much higher the
Last time gold was 1400 dollars an ounce.

Hi Nicky,

I would say AUD$1.00 by the November AGM is entirely feasible - if there is a realistic dividend motion, tender offer or a change of BoD it could be a lot more..... reinforced by PoG advance

Gold Really Is Shining – My Forecasts Raised
July 19, 2019

Back in February and then again in May I wrote about Newcrest Mining (NCM) stressing this exact fact about making sure not to miss out on the forthcoming rally that is likely to be the biggest since the pre-GFC stages.

NCM has appreciated over 50% this year and in an urge to have as many readers as possible I highlighted some of my other preferred gold exposures in my June 14 article including Silver Lake Resources, Medusa Minerals, Evolution Mining and Red 5. And to just ram home the point on June 28 I pushed Resolute Mining, Saracen, Northern Star and Regis in another gold bug story.

Whoops, my mistake by 10c..... As nicky says one day on MML closed at AUD 70c, or 39.5p. Only 12 days to go (at the latest...) to Q4/FY production results.

Hi HH,

MML was quoted at yesterday's close at 58c Australian (approx 38.3p). Note, AUD has strengthened about 5% vs GBP in the last ten weeks.

PoG is certainly on a roll tonight; last quote is $1,445! Cheers, tightfist

Hi Steve,

The answer to your (rheotorical?) question is IIRC that MML BoD has three members, two of whom reside in Western Oz, both of which are accountants past normal retirement age. They are super-conservative and wish to be risk-free, which prevents them making any thing but absolute cast-iron assurances/decisions. Successful mining management is in IMO not an exact science on each individual facet but a good and appropriate balance of probabilities - hence my long term severe misgivings about the current BoD modus operandii.

All IMHO. Cheers, tightfist

Is the MML price quoted on ADVFN in Aus$ or GBP please? i.e. 68c or 68p currently?

Galeforce - Apologies I meant to write 105k oz not 108k oz so around 28oz for Q4.

I strongly believe if POG stays around 1400 and MML Q4 results produce $5m plus free cashflow then not unreasonable to expect A1.00 within a month or so.

Chart shows a quite sharp rise and MML needs $1.50 to equal the Red5 rise and $4.20 to equal Ramelius. Should drive through $1.00 and if the gold price holds, very soon.

Q2/H1 production results for plenty of PM miners coming out this week in the UK eg FRES, HOC, AAZ, SHG, CEY etc. For MML I would expect their Q4/FY production results to be available also but in its perverse way will refuse to release them until the end of the month following the quarter end which has become established over the past many years as they have been so terrible.

The price action this time suggests this set of results will be good as expected.

Why can't Medusa adopt best practice in anything incl reporting to shareholders in a timely fashion any price sensitive news - good or bad? I think we know the answer to that ....

Andy - for MML to produce 108k in 2018-19 they would have to produce 31,100k ounces in Q4 (ended 30/6). I think that's too ambitious and am hoping for 27.5k. Hopefully you'll be right and I'll be wrong.
Your figures for next year look about right, but perhaps a tad conservative if PoG holds around $1400.

Galeforce lookimg fwd on an annualized rolling basis with a POG of 1400 I would expect MML to make a profit between $25m - $40m. The last quarter was an exceptional quarter grade wise and unlikely to be repeated quarter after quarter. This might be partially offset by better mill ulitisation and ore mined in Q4 as ore mined Jan was low due to maintenance. Also if I wanted to rebuild confidence in the BoD I would ensure Q4 production comes in at the upper range and annual prod is close to 108k oz.

Hi Galeforce,

Re #37827 I welcome your free-thinking half-full approach.

However, Einstein is widely credited with saying "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"? and I fear that the MML BoD is only capable of doing the same things over and over again. There have been many posts over the years (notably from myself) but I have had serial disappointments from what turned out to be wildly optimistic assumptions; time and time again it has transpired that MML opaqueness has clouded my judgement.

IMHO it is NOT a coincidence that the MML share price has sunk to such a level so as to provide these outstanding fundamentals. But, based on the last few years trackrecord, IMO I fervently believe that a new BoD will be required to deliver true shareholder value and I remain a holder on that basis. Cheers, tightfist

Steve - you are being pedantic!

Galeforce. You say MML has "no debt and cash in the bank of over $20m".
This is just not true for company reporting to date.

At last interim results it had bank borrowing of $7 million vs your 'no debt'.
We don't know the cash figure for end of Q4 or the net cash figure.

If you don't want to be pedantic I suggest you re-phrase your post to read:
"I estimate MML will have low borrowing and cash of over $20 million at FY end on 30/6."

atb.

btw Have you read my open letter to the new CEO of Medusa some months ago that there was no response to? Plse see post 37727 above

Steve - I don’t want to seem pedantic but you are referencing the cash figure at March 31. I’m sure that the year-end figures (at June 30) will show net cash at over $20m.

Medusa has bank borrowing of $7 million and cash of $19 million at last reporting. ie net cash of $12 million.

steve171 - I agree that it's a mistake to get involved in greenfield exploration projects in Queensland. Hopefully not too much cash is involved and if it looks like a dud we'll get out quick. Better to stick to the knitting in the Philippines.
