23/11/2017 12:55 | I want to believe ,but gold keeps getting Smacked down every time it looks like it May break out | atlantic57
23/11/2017 12:00 | It's been interesting watching GDX and GDXJ trying to put in a solid base over the last couple of weeks. Last night $GDX closed at the intraday and 4-week high. With PoG having some poise is today the day? It would be good if it can close above £24.90..... | tightfist
23/11/2017 11:17 | there is a damn good reason the gold in both Ukraine and Libya disappeared. Far preferable to bitcoin imo. | 4marlin
23/11/2017 11:05 | Gold looking good for a run higher. | ilostthelot
20/11/2017 08:43 | Aye Chip thats why its being done imo, we will see some very extreme swings in its value once they have control . | deka1
19/11/2017 16:49 | I agree with Dek about the likely outcome of trading bitcoin on the futures market. It would appear to offer both profits and control to the usual suspects. I also agree with BL regarding the significantly positive future for blockchain accounting for transfers of just about anything without needing to use the same third parties that have previously been required. This would appear to be the main thrust of the Etherium application so it, or it's successors, may well have a very bright future. But I just cannot view the actual bitcoins, or the couple of thousand other wannabe coins, as anything other than a giant bubble. Not for me as I much prefer real 'hard' assets. Right or wrong, I don't wish to be part of this particular speculation at any price. Chip | chipperfrd
19/11/2017 10:43 | Is Butcoin not going to soon be traded on the Futures exchange, that is generally the beginning of the end for true valuations for anything to do with currencies . | deka1
18/11/2017 17:16 | Maybe they will gain public acceptance and trust after the current crypto bubble tops out, if eventually part backed by gold, and assuming central bankers lose control of the current gigantic credit Ponzi scheme For example hxxps://www.goldmint (but do central bankers actually exercise control, rather than just exercise perception of control, as perception suffices) | bo doodak
17/11/2017 20:21 | I meant I wouldn't touch them! It's like tulip mania. | rrr
17/11/2017 19:51 | I am for the tulip theory. Yes you could do very well unless you are holding the parcel when the music stops. | atlantic57
17/11/2017 19:29 | I'm for the tulip theory. | rrr
17/11/2017 18:04 | A little off topic, but it does affect MML and other Gold Miners, and that's the dividing subject that is Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrences. I can see the advantages but are the massive price incresses justified, they are quiet incredible, speculation is large part of the price increase. But will Cryptos replacee Gold.some say Bitcoin will crash like the Tulip Bubble others say $100,000 per Bitcoin. Both sides have very intelligent people stating believable views. | bluelynx
14/11/2017 12:51 | Hi speedsgh, Thanks for keeping us up to date. The Environmental award is great; just what we need at present. Any idea what Villanueva has done to upset people? If I remember correctly, I have wondered a little about how an Attorney follows-on from an Army Colonel. Maybe that is what you need to network in the Phillipines? Cheers, tightfist | tightfist
14/11/2017 11:38 | Results of Annual General Meeting 2017 - More than 46% voted against the re-election of Raul Villanueva as a director. Following can at least be construed as good PR... 2017 Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA) - | speedsgh

03/11/2017 10:08 | Hi Paul, Thanks for your take on the Q1. Like you I particularly noted the impending winder maintenance work, which I read to be in the current Q2 (IMO associated with suppressed production expectations for Q2) and the maintained YE guidance which is below the recent rate of production. I would have thought that the shaft sinking disruption is just a constant, but there may be exceptional events when the shaft reaches Level 10?, hopefully in Q3. So far the expensive underground drilling campaign doesn't seem to have delivered much? Will it shine through in the August 2018 resources or is it a fools errand? Or it really intended to help position a new deep, $40m? shaft in the fullness of time. Would appreciate views from more knowledgeable BB'ers. In the latest drilling results I noted the dense web of narrow high-grade veins to the East adjacent to the diatreme. Is it mineable? It's these geological and operational considerations that may/may not underpin Chip's attractive numbers - and then there is the national politics..... That's it for now, tightfist | tightfist |
