Constant heavy selling between 150p and 160p. Despite the firm undertone in the small cap market, the good quality metrics and the forecast growth, this is unloved. Can easily see this sliding back to its low on any negative news. Whether or not AI will eat its lunch, the market thinks it will. Current selling suggests that

Hardly news - it's been talked about for a while. The development of AI in radiology is good news for MGP with its teleradiology model. We are having more scans for more diseases; AI will reduce the overall cost of a scan meaning more frequent scans to facilitate early detection but still requiring considerable human monitoring and intervention.

From the interims in September: "Medica continues to evaluate and monitor new advances in technologies that support our core business. This includes specialist imaging modalities and artificial intelligence that could improve workflow, assist in clinical prioritisation and provide radiologist decision support."

New tech on its way, surely Medica will have to adapt somehow with this news.
High p.e can't afford any slip ups, otherwise shareprice gets hit.

Couple of thoughts to that article:
1 - Will no doubt take a lot of time to actually prove the AI tech so won’t be adopted overnight, plus adding in selling time and onboarding processes. This is multiple years away
2 - Given that Medica has a foothold in this area already (a non-AI foothold), could Medica become a takeover target for the likes of google?

That is my opinion too. The headline AI news is easy copy and fashionable. Today's headlines are nothing new - it's just a big study. Nobody with knowledge of computing and vision systems will find it surprising or exciting. Radiologists are dealing with all sorts of complex images, not just the 'easy' pictures of breast cancer.
The only danger for MGP, that I see, is if the management gets over-excited about computing and starts to spend big on its own vision systems for diagnosis.

Very interesting information about the AI side which I can see has been raised
before on this bb.
I felt reassured by their very sensible take on it and they felt that any AI would actually enhance their role and not replace it.
Perhaps some sortof symbiotic relationship is envisaged certainly for now.

From above....
We continue to see very strong demand for scans in the NHS.
There have been no changes or signs of slowing down since IPO.
There has been an increase in exams over the last 5 years.
.
There is a need for a high quality,efficient service to bridge the gap that the NHS faces.
Medica are there for this.
Going forward they might need to increase their radiologists to fulfill this growing need.

what I liked about them was the year on year consistent growth in revenue and PROFITS.
Fundamentals,so far have shown there is a market that they they are addressing.
