20/4/2016 07:26 | It sits on a higher rating to most of the other big house builders so I don't see the point in being on board when sentiment is overwhelmingly negative towards the sector. | salpara111

19/4/2016 11:43 | McCarthy & Stone share price rises after retirement home builder reports 33 per cent revenue growth hxxp://www.cityam.co Chief executive Clive Fenton: "Our strategy is helping to deliver strong top-line growth as we continue to address increasing market demand for retirement housing driven by the UK’s rapidly ageing population. The UK’s population is maturing at a fast rate, but continues to suffer from a chronic undersupply of suitable retirement properties of the type we provide. McCarthy & Stone is uniquely placed to capitalise on this opportunity." | aishah
15/4/2016 22:22 | Deutsche Bank are MCS corporate brokers so its strange they put out a broker forcast for 256p when their job is to ramp up the share price. Are they trying to bring the price down to pick up a few for cheap on Monday in order to profit from pre-results on Tuesday? Drop could also be a tied in with the general malaise surrounding house builders at the moment. Crest Nicholson is down 8% in 2 days after for example. A few analysis have said we're at the top of the cycle, valuations are high, house price inflation is up, slow down in housing prices and demand, Brexit uncertainties etc take your pick. | danpollard

15/4/2016 16:34 | Looks like there has been a brokers note from Deutsche bank with share price target of 256, that might be part of reason behind drop. Disspointing see 6% drop though | 1861andy

21/3/2016 10:13 | One of TMI's 2016 NAPS (@272p): McCarthy & Stone, the UKs largest retirement house builder, has performed well since our main write-up last month. Keynote is that by 2019 it plans to increase annual output over 50% to 3,000 homes alongside a 25% rise in average selling prices. Demand is growing rapidly given the ageing population and acute shortage of private retirement housing while its focus on brown field land is delivering high returns on capital employed. Delivering as expected. Have been adding here on recent weakness. HSBC Initiated with a BUY and 330p target on 17/03 | aishah
10/3/2016 20:16 | I have it as the 21st March this has dropped quite a bit since results (although most house builders down) hoping see trading higher soon! | 1861andy
