The main focus for house builders has been to build starter homes - partly due to government subsidies - people already in the market are being ignored says Ann Bentley is chair of Rider Levett Bucknall, who are project managers in the residential building sector.

In particular older people, who are rather gloomily referred to as "last-time buyers", find it hard to find suitable properties to downsize into.

"Developers may have forgotton about this part of the market," says Ms Bentley.

I wonder how many people have held off on a decision to downsize and buy a MCS home, until the details of any incentives are announced?

It will be worth looking out for the government's white paper on housing next week. It may be significant for MCS.

EPS cuts have also stopped since early Dec, got through the last trading update recently without further cuts to estimates, trading back to normal post brexit according to management. Housing white paper on Tuesday might help sector. If it had performed in line with PSN and TW/ post brexit it would be 225 not 167.

Spent 7 months going nowhere. TDI charts seem to indicate a rise to test the 200p level in the fairly short term. Seems left out of rises in the property sector as a whole.
