12/7/2007 20:11 | Hi All, I realise that this may seem like a really odd request as i'm not an investor or even a potential investor in this stock, but simply i've been tasked to do a project in finance & I have been given this this stock a smy "topic". I can obtain lots of info from their website about the financials etc, but i was wondering whether anyone could give me some of the key points to help me complete a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunity, threats) etc, etc. This is a genuine request for assistance so any input would be greatly appreciated. Many, many thanks | foremanb
06/7/2007 19:46 | Wow ! what a ride, looks like my guesstimate of support on the chart at £2 is quite possible now ? I am tempted to get back in if it turns at £2 but right now I am more interested in another of my shares that seems to have licensed its IP to Apple this evening !! :-) only my opinion | scsw
05/7/2007 22:19 | seems like an impromptu glitch these should go up mark my words. aka eddie murphy SAYE share issue 0.445 purchase. mature 1st of August. 226 good buy | reddeadfred
02/7/2007 19:14 | New info the employee entitlements are being worked out now. Employees wishes hit the market on 1st of August next Brenso | brenso
02/7/2007 14:14 | brenso Interesting, must be mighty illiquid if employess selling, can result in a drop like that. If it is indeed the case, maybe the long term holders should put a note in their calendars as I think that SAYE schemes are open annually to employees. | scsw
02/7/2007 12:34 | I believe this recent drop is due to employees selling off their SAYE share issue which matures around this time. They bought them at around 40 pence Brenso | brenso
27/6/2007 10:05 | Well, I bought on the break into new highs but that didn't work out. Sold at a 10% plus loss. I suppose that small stocks that have had a very strong run will be susceptable to profit taking when the wider market gets the jitters. Don't have a shorting account, so will just accept the loss and protect my capital. However, I will watch to see how this plays out. Always looking to learn by experience. The chart looks a little precarious to me now. If no support comes in here, looks like a potential to slide down to the last obvious point - £2. May seem a long way down from here but nothing to hold it on the chart IMO. Of course, some explosive news can change everything in a heartbeat but I can't bank on such an event. Just look how CCT has retraced and they are in a very strong growth phase from what I have read. Again, may just be a case of banking of profits in a toppy market ? Good luck to the holders. | scsw
07/6/2007 16:46 | Cambium - nice thought, but in times past this sort of fall could just as easily be the portent of an unwelcome RNS first thing tomorrow (because you know someone will always know before we do). On the other hand could be a shake before a big leg up! Who knows. One way or another it's been a stinker of a week. | gorilla36
07/6/2007 16:28 | Any thoughts on this fall ????? | gorilla36

14/3/2007 20:27 | I have been a holder of McBrides since 02 They have got by tough times by working at it working on small margins cutting costs and pleasing tough customers they are quite a slick outfit now and have a motivated CEO They are growing market share by acqusitions The pension liabilites are not great and they have recently had agreement to increase employee contributionsto make up the gap Only a small percentage of staff are in the final Salary scheme. Much of the shop floor staff are employed in low tech work, bottle filling and packing and such like In the recent year the company have been taking on well motivated young workers (Polish) They are paid the standard rates but are willing to work overtime and have less sick leave than the more traditional workers in these jobs. Employees who took advantage of the company SAYE share scheme have options to buy the shares at around 40p later this year This is a well motivated company A question which European company love Private Label? which Euopean country do Mcbrides only have a 1% market share in? Mcbrides have struggled with the sourcing of Plastic pellets to make the bottles due to the recent cost of Oil I understand with new bottle blowing plants and a method of blowing predrawn tube delivered from the mid east? well I am no expert DYOR Brenso | brenso
14/3/2007 11:34 | Merill Lynch Initiate coverage today with a "Strong Buy", price target "315p", that's all I have on DJ News at the moment. CR | cockneyrebel
14/3/2007 09:50 | Well, I'm surprised this BB is so quiet on the back of a ML initiation of coverage with a 315p target. I've had a few this morning. If anyone has got more details (i.e. broker note would be really nice!) I'd appreciate an update. All I have is a news alert. | doubleorquits |
