I don't believe anybody is questioning the move to America, it's the behavior of the major shareholders that's doubtful. The delisting was to get the Firstborger and Eclipse deals through, they wouldn't risk calling an EGM because we would have discovered that Rovello is really Barskiy and that Eclipse is really Fireeast.

The assets they hold now are far better than what they had in Russia. Now is the time to ramp up production and extract the full potential of the fields. For the last couple of years they have ticked over due to low oil prices. In my opinion it is a shrewd move. They delisted to keep costs low. Restructured the company and purchased new assets and now are listing on an exchange they know well. The fact is Maxim owns 60% of the shares. It's in his interest to grow the business. He has a proven track record for growing oilers. This is the first time in several years that we can expect some upside. It's time people stopped obsessing and be patient. Remember wealth is the transfer of money from the impatient to the patient!

LT - I believe Fireeast is Alltechs man, it goes back to the attempted takeover of UEN. I'll leave it up to you to guess where the $3.5m went!

With regard to PH & NH I believe they were genuine businessmen who were unsuccessful in what the tried to do with Matra but I believe they had the best interests of the company at hart. I can always respect people who genuinely try to achieve something even if it doesn't work out.

beggarman, in hindsight we could all make the best decisions but in life things don't work out that way. We really have no idea how MB's mind works and this was also probably true when he was at WSR.
I think PH & NH were more cruel to Matra than MB. They used old fashioned data to source sweet spots and got it totally wrong, it was like being blindfolded and throwing a dart at a map. They destroyed Matra, they depleted every bit of money and diluted it beyond comprehension. Soko was worthless to us shareholders. Unless we wanted to replicate the "Peckham Spring" rodders!!!

It's like sitting on a plane, sit back and relax cause there's nothing you can do (for now anyway)!

LT - It was the involvement of Fireeast that did it for me. We could have had an extra $3.5m in working capital without the Eclipse deal.

Matra Petroleum in brief
• The US oil and gas market is well developed and characterized by transparency, favorable tax conditions and increased political support for domestic oil production
• Oil and gas market has recovered and stabilized after sharp price declines from 2014 to 2016. The outlook has improved and the investment climate is favorable
• Matra has adapted to the current market conditions through cost reductions, efficiency improvements and restructuring of the loan portfolio.
• of production is approximately 55% oil and 45% gas
• With increased production and improved oil and gas prices now improving the company's earnings and cash flow for
losses during 2014-2016
• Of the proven oil and gas reserves have only 10% in the mine and the company has identified nearly 500 drilling opportunities
• The reserves are conventional and are located at a depth of only up to 400-1000 meters
• The company is well positioned to increase production by drilling in proven reserves, measures on
existing wells, and selective acquisitions.
• drilling cost of a new well amount to about 350 USD thousands and company calculates the average yield on a new well is approximately 50% (IRR / IRR) at current prices
• Competent management with many years of experience from a number of international and American oil companies, including TNK-BP, West Siberian Resources Ltd., ConocoPhillips and Mesa Petroleum

This to me looks like they are working hard! I'm afraid the true reality that some of you don't get is that MB & Co don't wake up each and every morning and think "There are some guys on ADVFN BB that need making rich let's see how we can help them today". They have day to day pressures and yes ultimately they want to line their pockets and who doesn't. But if they do hopefully we can all benefit. As it stood we were (& still are) delisted and we had no access to any of our investment and shortly you will, so from a glass half full perspective, it's a win win.
The whining and whinging and negativity is soul destroying!

They don't give a precise date only April 2017.

They do admit to losses during the period 2014 to 2016 which was my own interpretation.
