Do you mean Diageo? They are the biggest drinks company in the world. Unless we all die from the virus, Diageo is the most defensive company you can hold. As to Marston's, they are a medium size UK Brewer with reasonable prospects and a handsome dividend.

Sold out at 1.16, not the top but had been looking for a re entry, but I now think these are finished, there is a heavy duty recession on the way and the uk already weak after three years of the brexit self harming sxxtshow, the debt is just too high, can see dividend being cut by two thirds and this down to pennies. Im not sure the ftse 350 or aim investable anymore.

I am sure that RF is happy that there is still plenty portfolio to sell off, until he retires.

No, they don't, and largest shareholder Hargreaves Lansdown are clearly just there as Nominees for many "small guys". But the others should be encouraged to stir the pot. In another case like this, I found both M&G and Standard Life willing to engage with rational argument and M& G is a large shareholder here too. May be worth pushing them to be a bit more 'activist'.

I note from the AR that, were they to hit all bonus targets, RF's remuneration would be a staggering £2.4m. However, as they haven't, he's had to make do with around £800k/year. He shares our pain.
