10/7/2013 09:59 | Think this sums up M&S well, food always seems to be good. However, the clothing line is too vast and expensive. | lennonsalive
09/7/2013 19:10 | What I cannot understand is that the 2 M & S Stores in my region ,90% (it seems)of the floor space is clothing and the like. Why not make the Food Halls larger and reduce the clothing space? Food seems their best selling product yet is allocated restricted floor space IMHO | ignoble

09/7/2013 07:27 | Marks and Spencer is a great establishment but not the Goliath it once was. Food is great, infact brilliant and they are keen to open as many simply food outlets as they can.How ever the fashion element of M&S is dead and has been for a good 8 years and shows no sign of improving. All the talented minds and designers are working at NEXT or ASOS and it shows in these two companies current share prices. No one young, energetic and with a passion for fashion wants to work with M&S as it is just not trendy enough for them. That coupled with the draconian rudderless middle management you have a classic recipe disaster again and again. I would go as far as to say they will never be able to make up the ground they have lost as a fashion leader....and will never be a fashion leader again. Our children's, children's, children will never go there as the brand damage is done. There biggest mistake was never developing an online presence at the time when ASOS and Next were going guns blazing......they will now ultimately pay the price. It will take the likes of some buccaneer character to sort out this mess M&S are in and we may yet see the return of Philip Green? As for the share price ........way way way overvalued for a business model that is clearly failing and whose long term fashion revenue growth is clearly in great jeopardy.I would not buy, would you? | quilarvium

20/6/2013 20:35 | I sold out MKS at 433p a month or so ago and thought I'd missed the boat for getting back in. Now I could get back in I've stupidly bought First Group and I'm sitting on a big loss, that I hope I can re-coup after the rights issue is finished. Will MKS be back under 433 again, I don't think so | robertfaulkner
