21/9/2016 16:18 | Bonmarché hit by "too hot" September as shares melt 22% Trading in September was described as “extremely poor”. As a result underlying sales for the second-quarter of the financial year were down 8%, as were like-for-like revenues for the first half of the firm’s financial year. Maybe a sign of things to come? | nige co

15/9/2016 10:04 | these pension deficits could reduce as quickly as they arrived. The 10 year UK gilt yield is 0.77%. that is the problem , you need more cash to buy a pension. But of late these rates have been creeping up and if that continues, as some predict, then within a couple of years these deficits could almost disappear. | careful
15/9/2016 09:23 | So what are we looking at .. 6% 'ish dividend if payment stays unchanged. I`m happy with half of that for my income portfolio if they cut that to prop up the pension defecit. I`ve added a few @ 310.4p | philanderer
15/9/2016 09:16 | the crash from 550p to todays 309p should have all risks within it, with lots to spare. BHS should bring a realistic attitude when it comes to pension benefit renegotiations. The market value of the company has fallen from £8.9bn to £5bn over the last 12 months. eye watering. | careful
15/9/2016 09:11 | bght some at 309. good point about pension deficits. someone has to pay for QE and low interest rates. there are no free meals. hoping deficits will be spread out over many decades. | careful

15/9/2016 08:59 | tempted here. Next results flat but not a disaster. MKS are different they should cater for the ever increasing older population of women. I think todays price is too cheap. The recent crash seems overdone. | careful
15/9/2016 08:50 | If John Lewis can`t do it , nobody can. Down we go. Profits at the John Lewis Partnership have been hit by a more competitive retail market and higher staff pay. Pre-tax profits fell 14.8% to £82.4m for the six months to July. | philanderer
