04/6/2007 07:40 | catch the dip this time imo, back in an uptrend. CR | cockneyrebel
03/6/2007 09:44 | I can't claim the credit sadly, it was Mark Twain's reference to gold mines - tho applicable to many in the commodity industry. CR | cockneyrebel
01/6/2007 20:33 | No, looks like I should have been tho! :-( Not my sort of stock, oils and commodities - never understand them. As they say - a mine is a hole in the ground with a liar at the top' :-) CR | cockneyrebel
01/6/2007 20:03 | who cares - this looks good | sven2006

01/6/2007 19:05 | Well CR, that was a nice move close to the end of the day. I was out so wasn't watching. Something in the weekend press, perhaps? G | goatman
01/6/2007 16:38 | Getting greedy probably :-) CR | cockneyrebel
01/6/2007 16:24 | Last year trading update was at the End of June (28/6/06) and its only a month since the "significantly ahead of current market expectations" update. Are we getting greedy expecting another or just sure there's still plenty to tell? | giddygoat
01/6/2007 15:11 | Moving at last, and about time too. :-) | diogenesj
01/6/2007 15:06 | Year end today - does this signify news next week? Last director buy was 6 weeks ago so clear of insider trading now I think. CR | cockneyrebel
01/6/2007 14:54 | "Sell in May and go away, but make sure you come back on the 1st of June as it'll be much higher by September" ;-) | madmix
01/6/2007 14:52 | oops, bit excited :-) CR | cockneyrebel
01/6/2007 14:51 | Starting to motor on L2 and has just broken through resistance - hurry up guys :-) CR | cockneyrebel

31/5/2007 15:14 | at least a small up day | sven2006
31/5/2007 14:15 | CR. Strange that advfn have APC at 11.5 mil market cap, not like them to go over what you think is the cap, they usually are lower so which is right ? Like i said the other day, i think Lin looks extremely cheap with or without the convertable bond, without it, it will make net profits of 800k on a market cap of 3.5 million with 2.5 million cash hence my new thread is it too good to be true ?... | quotes_4_u
31/5/2007 12:02 | Quotes, have you looked at what APC is forecast to make? £0.8m pbt the coming year. Mkt cap £8.6m, margins soaring. Looks chap to me in view of the shift from low margin to higher margins stuff. MNS back on the hot plate. Bad luck quotes, it happens to us all. CR | cockneyrebel
31/5/2007 10:18 | at bloody last ! | sven2006
30/5/2007 10:38 | Stopped out i'm afraid for my sake, never thought it would get under 70p. Still cant get round Apc rise CR given how much it makes next to it's market-cap but hey ho, some you win some you lose. | quotes_4_u
30/5/2007 10:21 | 'In the short term the market is a voting machine, in the long term it's a weighing machine', Buffet quote I think. You'll never time things perfect Recs. If you happen to buy a good cheap stock in a general weak market then you can take a shorrt term hit, we all get them. Look at APC today. Nobody interested on the results at 35p a week or two ago. Then this morning somone paying 15% over the market pre-open. You have to buy on dips and wait for the market to catch up with you imo. FSG is another one like MNS, punters all ignoring the dip but when results are out in 13 days time they'll all be climbing all over it imo. Work different to the market - it makes you a loner at times but better to be a loner buying cheaply imo. CR | cockneyrebel
30/5/2007 08:54 | I know how you feel Recs. Nicer when they are going up. I bought at 82.5p reently! My timing needs improvement! Still, trading statement hopefully in June as per last year and results in August. G | goatman |
