06/11/2003 14:23 | I'm watching, but can't see why I should buy. Ever decreasing revs, loss making, losing clients....not exactly encouraging is it....If it gets to 10p, I'll have some, mkt cap of about £18m then, which is still decent. Right now mkt cap way over priced imo. | recruiter

06/11/2003 12:56 | For those that haven't seen the RNS yet: Management Consulting Group PLC 06 November 2003 6 November 2003 TRADING UPDATE Management Consulting Group PLC issues the following trading update. On 11 August 2003, when announcing the results for the six months ended 30 June 2003, it was noted that the Group's order book had grown by 40% during the year despite cautious decision making by clients which delayed the rate of order input. On the basis of this, together with strong enquiry levels, the Board indicated that the performance of the Group was expected to improve in the second half. It remains the case that the Board expects the performance of the Group in the second half of the year to show an improvement over the first half. However, a significant client engagement will terminate unexpectedly with effect from 7 November 2003 and it is unlikely that the revenue that was expected to flow from this engagement in the current year will be replaced or that the staff resources can be fully adjusted in line with the reduced revenue. Taking account of the effect of this and the continued weakening of the US dollar, the result for the full year ended 31 December 2003 is expected to be below current market expectations. The prospects stream has remained strong and the order book has continued to grow in the second half. In Sterling terms, the order book on 31 October 2003 was some 50% higher than it was at 1 January 2003 and some 30% higher than it was on 1 November 2002. Accordingly, the Board continues to expect the Group to make progress in 2004. | wonder boy

06/11/2003 11:07 | quraishim ---- yes and also a Mistress with a Whip !!! By the way - the fool is the one who averages down - live in hope... The trip for the price here heads south bound. These are my views and maybe shared by thousands others and handful not. ;-) | pujababy
06/11/2003 10:09 | WonderBoy, I'm with you on this. This is a fantastic price to buy into MMC ! I have been watching MMC for about 2 month now, looking for the right opportunity to buy - Blimey ! I couldn't believe my eyes today !!! There's no doubt that the fall in price has been overdone. MMC is now trading at a PE of approximately 4 ! - that's amazingly cheap ! A week dollar and the loss of an important contract have constituted to todays fall, but WOW is this a great chance to buy in or what. For all those who are holding and bought at a much higher price, sh*t happens, pick your self up and average down ! this is your chance to top up - If you thought MMC was worth buying at a much higher price (which you must have) then it's a absolute bargain now. Business is picking up, turnover is much better and profits are reported as improving. The market in general is picking up ! I'm definately in ! | nilip
06/11/2003 10:00 | pujababy.....fancy a night out.....The answer to your question is Vibrator | quraishim
06/11/2003 09:54 | This is a people business which in today's climate can be very risky... Outlook for small companies still clouded & the markets keep on rising especially the Dow & Nas.Not sure if this general rally is built on strong foundations or is it just an illusion... | diku
06/11/2003 09:47 | Going down - Predict 11p very soon ... Always portraying a rosier picture than really was. What else is there in the MMC closet ????? | pujababy
06/11/2003 09:23 | if i held these i would be straight onto the FSA! price has been falling for weeks, like diku said, someone obviously knew about this. why didn't the company make an announcement earlier, even if they just said "we are in negotiaitions with an existing client that may or may not lead to the termination of our agreement". for the rest of us, this COULD represent a great buying opportunity once the dust has settled. by the way, does anyone know the identity of the client thats leaving? i didn't think MMC were overly reliant on any single customer | wonder boy
06/11/2003 08:12 | Now we know why the price was drifting lower all this time.Somebody somewhere always has access to this info... | diku
05/11/2003 21:54 | Well fancy that....we have a hammer in the candlesticks. First sign of anything for ages so we will see? | jules123
04/11/2003 16:55 | why is it falling in the first place??? it was 40p a few weeks back, there's been no news and very little trading yet here we are round about 25p. been wating to jump aboard since 35p...i'll continue to wait for now | wonder boy
04/11/2003 14:11 | will this ever stop falling, place your bets for the DCB or genuine reversal... | nur0mancer |
