12/1/2006 09:11 | LONDON (AFX) - Management Consulting Group PLC said it expects its full year 2005 operating profit before exceptionals to beat market forecasts, and said it sees "significant progress" in the first half of the current year. In a pre-close trading statement, the group, which owns Proudfoot Consulting and Parson Consulting, said its full year 2005 operating profit, before an exceptional profit of 0.9 mln stg highlighted in the first half results, will be "not less than the highest published forecast". Current brokers' forecasts range from 11.0 mln stg to 12.2 mln. The group added that its full year revenues are expected to be ahead of market expectations, and to have grown by 8 pct to 129 mln stg from 119 mln in 2004. Brokers currently estimate revenues at 124.4-127.4 mln stg. Proudfoot's revenues are estimated to have grown by 6 pct to 86 mln stg; while Parson's revenues are seen up 14 pct to 43 mln. Chief executive Kevin Parry said: "In common with other consultancies we have seen improving market conditions and there is much greater trading visibility going into a new year than we have had for the past five years." | welsheagle | |
