09/8/2004 08:59 | My information is that this indeed about the year's high, after a little profit taking today....as for my 'trading'...well a return of 2.2 times my initial investment isn't that bad... don't get me wrong...this is a good trading stock but it hasn't escaped my attention that a few latecomers are keen to pull in new punters at the year's high... but I suppose it was ever thus! | scotswhaehae
09/8/2004 08:47 | no suprises? so there wasnt, is that a bad thing? the facts are the last time this company produced results like this they were trading at nearer 80p, as for your argument on year high, look at the graph if you think its negative then good luck in your trading you will need it | aughton 3
09/8/2004 08:27 | The directors hardly ever buy ...and then only in small quantities...last time was in the low 20p's! So I can't see why you think it should be at the year's high! Results as expected....no surprises...so will be interesting where the big volume deals head! | scotswhaehae
09/8/2004 08:24 | Wouldnt be surprised if see some Directors buys tomorrow.. I still dont know why so little retail interest here..ah well | nurdin
09/8/2004 07:13 | To me this is the most significant part of the statement... ''....However, the order books in both businesses are significantly better than at the same time a year ago which points to good progress in the second half compared with the corresponding period of last year...'' If they do just 2p headline eps in H2 we are looking at per of under 10 for the full year despite todays rise..plenty of cash and a great turn around in business.. Tip sheets have their pens ready imo... | nurdin
09/8/2004 07:00 | Excellent results...:o) | nurdin
09/8/2004 06:56 | results say it all | aughton 3
07/8/2004 09:26 | the institutions have not exactly been dumping in the run up to the results though have they, mmc may come off with market conditions the way they are at present, but if they come out with results as expected, work the figures out they are not going to stay at these levels medium term Aughton 3 | special agent
06/8/2004 13:46 | So many people bullish!... these have a reputation for surprises....and fell to 20p not so long ago....my view is that the institutions ( who really count ) will look to sell . This is the top guys....but I accept it takes two views to make a market....and I speak as a bull from the mid 20s ... | scotswhaehae
06/8/2004 11:52 | In the medium term, i agree, but short term theyve got to move to 55p+, i am thinking of picking up some more in the isa before close today | aughton 3
06/8/2004 11:32 | Given turnover is likely to be 60 million plus, can we expect EPS to be about 2p? This is based on interim figures for turnover and EPS in 2002 (Turnover 55.65m, EPS 2.44p) That should put the shares at around 80p each. | tlukearcher
04/8/2004 10:50 | Good man....have been out and pleased to see the rise..hope you in profit mate :o) | nurdin
04/8/2004 10:09 | just picked up some more nurdin | aughton 3
04/8/2004 09:42 | Nope...these look seriously undervalued and still no interest...ah well | nurdin
04/8/2004 08:26 | have you noticed any other stocks as obvious as this Nurdin? | aughton 3
04/8/2004 07:46 | i cannot believe there has been so little interest in mmc, even though market stuck sideways, mmc cant hold this level for much longer | aughton 3
04/8/2004 07:35 | Should see 50p+ in the run upto the results imo... | nurdin
04/8/2004 07:13 | Interims on 9Aug.... ''....the operating profit before goodwill amortisation for the half year will show a very substantial improvement when compared to the first half of 2003 (operating loss before goodwill amortisation of #1.0 million) and is expected to be close to market expectations for the year as a whole...'' | nurdin
14/7/2004 07:39 | Agreed Aughton...the market is set to move sideways for a few months. I expect MMC to start moving as the interims approach which are about a month away. Smart investors will be buying well ahead of that imo... | nurdin
14/7/2004 07:28 | so little going on in most stocks nurdin, astonished there hasnt been more interest in mmc, i am holding these, as soon as the market picks up they have got to move, they will also no doubt be tipped again along the way | aughton 3
13/7/2004 20:17 | So little interest in this stock..astonishing! Perhaps punters are buying in when I am not looking? :o) | nurdin
13/7/2004 16:23 | -Brokers have revised full year forecasts from £7m to £10m..a massive 43% jump.Half year profits expected to come near £7m as per companys announcement.Second half is seasonally slow due to holiday periods etc and brokers are being conservative in expecting £3m in H2. -FD says brokers are awaiting their interim announcement before firming up on H2 numbers. -I personally think the H1 momentum will continue atleast part way into H2 and full year pretax will come in more near £11m than £10m | nurdin
02/7/2004 12:42 | Looks like a discretionary fund manager is selling out today... | scotswhaehae

24/6/2004 09:50 | 60p+ any less is far too cheap | aughton 3 |
