27/4/2009 10:01 | Hyper Al, look at the BBC web site's "budget at a glance"; it ought to be easy to find. They say that the over 50s will get this increased ISA allowance in October. Beats me why, that's just making the law more complicated. Apparently the rest of us will get it from April 2010. So I guess I'm just quoting the BBC. Anyway, nice share-price action. It doesn't want to go down, does it? | arf dysg
27/4/2009 08:58 | A nice start to the week | pigaletto
22/4/2009 15:31 | Arf Dysg What's this age discrimination you are talking about. | hyper al
22/4/2009 15:29 | I notice that the annual ISA investment limit will go up to £10,000 pounds. At last a realistic increase, shame the under-50s won't get it until next year. | arf dysg
22/4/2009 11:05 | Might have leaked out hence recent rise, Al. But as always a long termer. H. | hectorp
22/4/2009 08:06 | The outlook looks very good, but as always with this sector, it's long term. | hyper al
22/4/2009 07:44 | Significant gold mining update ( New Liberty) for 2010.. | hectorp
21/4/2009 08:32 | I see we went up a bit in Canada. | bsg
16/4/2009 18:26 | Its damned exciting, and of course I love the part about My Gold,as currrent plans are for something far bigger than originally planned, which means big profits to be banked -in time to come "But outside of the intricacies of closing off the African Aura-Mano combination in a legal sense, the next big thing to watch out for will probably be news from Mano's New Liberty gold project in Liberia. This is something Luis comes back to time and again, and it's obvious he's anticipating good news. The plan is to drill the property down to at least 300 metres, have a look at the results and take it from there. There's plenty to go on for back-of-the envelope merchants though, as a feasibility study dating back a couple of years put a US$56 million price tag on a potential open pit operation. The plan now is for an underground operation, and Luis reckons that that will come in at a cost of around US$100 million. It's too early to be more precise, or to flesh anything out, but one thing Luis doesn't reckon he'll have trouble with is raising the money on the markets to get a mine built. " Just to add---- I considered this stock was cheap at 12p,and that will prove to be the case-so buying at these levels is somewhat orgasmic. | richgit
16/4/2009 09:29 | Positive article on the deal Mano River And African Aura Merge To Create A Gold And Iron Ore Specialist With Cash In The Bank And Big, Big Plans You get a bit of a feel for the way Luis da Silva's mind is working when, mid-way through a discussion on the proposed merger between his company, Mano River Resources, and fellow West African-focused explorer African Aura, he Full story... | buy gold sell dollar
15/4/2009 22:42 | Great news and totally unexected. It is a 1 for 6 though not a 6 for 1. Watch the share price climb now. | encarter
15/4/2009 16:11 | Seemns to be going down quite well. Perhaps I'd have wished that the Canadian company was further along the road to some production. Hopefully their iron ore project is a bit closer to the sea. I'm not complaining as this seems useful. | hectorp
15/4/2009 15:59 | good volume now in Canada .... | jester jim
15/4/2009 15:52 | A better spread as well @ 3.75p to sell and 3.82p to buy with Halifax | quinan
15/4/2009 15:44 | huge volume - getting on for 2% traded which for Mano is quite something | jester jim
15/4/2009 14:41 | Interesting. Seems like a solid deal. ...and the price is up a bit. | arf dysg
15/4/2009 14:33 | Well looks like the news is starting to filter through. | quinan
15/4/2009 14:19 | Probably not a roll over as too far apart (> 2 minutes) probably an exchange of shares. | bsg
15/4/2009 14:05 | only just seen the news think that 1m is a rollover. Very good news for the long term. | hyper al
15/4/2009 13:59 | and another one | jester jim
15/4/2009 13:48 | million buy gone through at full price | jester jim
15/4/2009 12:44 | The 6 for 1 won't be an issue as it will coincide when the deal goes through, so more cash and bigger assets should not have an effect in the share price also it will make it more attractive for larger investors? | quinan
15/4/2009 12:36 | I bought some more. But you can never predict short term reaction-and I`m never short term However merging undervaled assets and firming up cash balances looks a no-brainer for me. Dilution is taken care of as we achieve more undervalued assets so all in all when this goes through we will own considerably more assets at the right price plus a good Cash balance. The Market would eventually take on board that we will have a far stronger and further assets rich Company which should propel the eventual Market Cap far faster in the longer term. | richgit
15/4/2009 12:32 | Shame about the 6:1 consolidation, seems to always cause a significant price drop. | bsg |
