Gordon screaming Bennett! Why is the price falling AGAIN today? The markets look like they're recovering so I thought we'd seen the last of share-price trashing. However.... this may mean I can buy more MANA much more cheaply when some more cash falls off the money tree.

Oh, no, here we go again, said the small pot of petunias in a weary, resigned kind of voice. Share price trashed again.


Since MANA has cash in the bank, they should do more than just survive - they should thrive. Revenues beginning to come in from Kono diamonds, another gold mine feasibility study under way, iron ore value appearing too - these are a buy.

Market makers should not be traders as well as there is a clear conflict of interests.

Someone took 20p for 135k GEM when the bid was 26p - over a barrel with Market Makers the only game in town.

On 10th September 450k SOLG sold at 1p when the bid was 3p.
Same stock sold back into the market over next few days for 2.5p-3p

Market Maker system leaves a lot ot be desired. This isn't "making an orderly market", it is profiteering.

For some background on iron ore, you could well check out postings on RRR (Red Rock Resources) over the last 24 hours - there is a presentation by MDX (Australian company with iron-ore interests) which includes a very interesting slide saying where the iron ore is going. Something like 54% China, then about 25% Japan, then about 12% South Korea. This is iron ore from Western Australia, but iron ore from other miners would still have China as a destination.

I like the CEO's comment:

"...We maintain our belief that the value will increase with
larger parcels, which will provide a more representative sample..."

Presumably he means the price per carat. At $152/carat it's already looking good.

" Exploration - Sierra Leone
Exploration and trial mining operations at our Kono project in Sierra Leone, a joint
venture with Stellar Diamonds, continue to yield
encouraging results. The first parcel of Kono test production (1,064 carats) was sold on
tender this September, with the Pol-K shaft parcel
of 866 carats achieving an average value per carat of US$152. As diamond production from the
trial mining increases over the coming months,
we will be able to offset total project expenditure against the revenues generated by regular
diamond sales. As trial mining and regular
sales continue, we will further establish the parameters for a production decision.

Due to the considerable exploration potential at Kono, a 3,167 line km airborne
electromagnetic geophysical survey has been completed by
Fugro Airborne Surveys, the objective being the discovery of kimberlite pipes and blows.
Processing of the data, which we outsourced to an
external expert, is complete and final interpretations should be available before the end of
October 2008."

It's more than implied the stones have been sold. Lets hope the news gets the share price moving back above 12p.

All the interim results say about the above is "a tender is scheduled for September". The implication now is that the tender has happened and diamonds have been sold. I think we're due an RNS announcement.

MANA almost halved in value recently like many mining cos. Certainly appears oversold here.

.... and anyway, it wouldn't surprise me if it was just registered incorrectly as a sale. I have just purchased two small tranvhes of shares ay 7.1p and they appeared on ADVFN as sells.
