12/4/2009 10:35 | Diamonds.. this , from FDI results, seems to sum up the current diamond situation.. with possible recovery in 1-2 years , I may add: diamond explorer-producers WITH capital and whose shares have fallen 80-90% with the overall market look attractive for 2010.. I suggest thiss month's rise wont be maintained through the summer however.. Diamond market While prices for rough diamonds have fallen by about 50% over the past six months, these decreases have not been reflected in prices for polished diamonds, which have only declined by about 20% over the same period. The Company believes that much of the fall in rough prices has been caused by significant reductions in availability of bank financing to rough diamond buyers for inventory and receivables. The major diamond producers, such as Debswana, De Beers and Alrosa, have made very significant cutbacks in their supply of rough diamonds to the market, as a result of which rough diamond prices have stabilised. We continue to believe that the long term prospects for diamonds remain positive due to the projected significant long term shortfall in supply and that diamond prices will increase once again when the global economy begins to recover. | hectorp
09/4/2009 08:34 | Friends, take a look at WAD. I jus posted an update on the bb. | encarter
03/4/2009 13:18 | Half page writeup on MANA in the Shares Mag. I don't much rate this rag, but its interesting to see it. - ah, it IS a 'tip .. it ends 'buy'. note 'MAny iron ore contracts are renewed on ist April. We will have a long wait for Severstal production.. 2015 .. | hectorp
02/4/2009 09:11 | Metals recovering.... # Lead will appreciate in price at faster rates than zinc and nickel. # Specialty metals like molybdenum will begin to appreciate in price once the iron ore contracts are settled. Molybdenum usually follows close on the heels of copper. # Again once the iron ore contracts are completed we should see an increase in the price of manganese which is essential in the production of steel. There is no substitution. Consumption of manganese (the fourth largest consumed metal just behind copper) has increased 13.3% from 11.8 million tonnes (2006) to 13.3 million tonnes (2007). source: | hectorp

31/3/2009 16:40 | I often find myself thinking that when confronted with a double D. | arf dysg
31/3/2009 16:37 | "Dull" spelled backwards is the Welsh word "Llud" which means "this is so exciting I think I'm going to pass out." If you put another D on the end it becomes "Lludd" which means "The pleasure is so intense I may lose consciousness." | arf dysg
31/3/2009 15:20 | This is DULL !! | bsg
27/3/2009 17:15 | If you like diamonds, take a look at Kopane Diamond Developments (KDD). I hold some. Their share price has had a bit of a kick up for the last three days. No news has been announced, but the DFS is scheduled to appear fairly soon. Maybe a resource statement is coming out. | arf dysg
26/3/2009 17:56 | I would rather that the MMs realised which century we were in (i.e. not in the middle ages any more) and what the decimal system is for. Come on guys, you know what 0.1p is, use it! That should be a sensible spread, maybe even a small multiple of 0.01p, why do you have to put things up and down in quarters, eighths, sixteenths, etc.? | arf dysg
26/3/2009 15:16 | MM's have changed tick size. Not sure it's a good thing. I think it means there's a long wait. | bsg

26/3/2009 14:31 | If i recall correctly the Russians have an option to buy another slice of Mano at 14p a share, which i think they will take up and when they do the share price should go to around there. Just a matter of time. | encarter
26/3/2009 14:28 | Nice 500k buy, directors? | encarter
26/3/2009 12:53 | great news Mano seems to finally be getting the attention is deserves. We've a long way to go until we get anything like fair value but the last week or so has been a good start to the recovery | jester jim
26/3/2009 11:30 | we have a tick | hyper al
26/3/2009 11:09 | This is proving to be a stubborn blighter ! | bsg
25/3/2009 11:29 | I wouldnt lose any sleep over Mana. I paid circa £22,000 overall for my first 200k of buys in 2007. The Iron Ore project alone will eventually make the stock a winner,so buying at these levels, that hardly values the Company above its cash inputs makes it somewhat a no brainer. I will most certainly buy my final dollop on any positive news regards the Gold which will most certainly put the stock in the spotlight, and of course there is Stellar. No lost sleep here (at least not with Mana) | richgit
24/3/2009 15:39 | I have a few only now but plan to get back in at some point Hyper. | dr jekyll
