10/6/2008 08:49 | Very encouraging intercepts - two at greater than 100 gram x metres! I will be interested to see if we start to get a bit more volume in Canada. Hopefully, the NL resource will eventually be substantially increased and mine-life extended to a more 'bankable' level. | chipperfrd
10/6/2008 08:06 | More good news which explains all the buying and with the iron ore deal they have the funds to progress. | cliley454
10/6/2008 08:05 | Mana comes up with some very decent deep hole assay results from New Liberty RNS ( so this is why the share was being bought yesterday) | hectorp
09/6/2008 16:50 | I see a volume of at least 7.5 million shares. That's huge for Mano. I imagine that since we have cash in the bank and a DFS already on the table, this could fall within some institutions' rules for investment. | arf dysg
09/6/2008 15:03 | Some institutional interest today looks very likely. | hectorp
09/6/2008 14:25 | See if its sustained. Usually drops down nicely after a while. | amitkoth
09/6/2008 12:46 | It's a two step rally over a couple of weeks, and is higher than that of 2007. I propose it is not complete. - Large 7 page diamond mining article in the Sharesmagazine Friday, MANA is mentioned but as its not in ittself a pure diamond miner it doesnt get the coverage of some others. Just need to see this sort of rally at GFM. | hectorp
09/6/2008 12:23 | How interesting. Another share-price rise, at good volume. Is the market waking up? | arf dysg
09/6/2008 07:57 | Yes U? Certainly was a LOT of interest in MANA on Friday. | hectorp
08/6/2008 22:34 | Next week guys - | unionhall
08/6/2008 12:43 | OK , re 'this year' then. - satisfy bankers and enlarge the resource - we hope so. - resource 'open at depth'? apparently this type of ore body often is . In fact that will have prompted the deep drilling. Well we will see where we are in a few months chip. H. | hectorp
07/6/2008 17:32 | H, Based on their January announcement, where they stated the following objectives: Increasing and further defining the current measured and indicated resource of 1.4 million ounces Expanding the current proven mineral reserve of 573,000 ounces Drill testing to 500-600m below surface for possible deep mineralisation Providing further data to facilitate an underground mining plan to follow initial open pit operation I think the answer to your question has to be yes! I will certainly be very interested to see what they may have found at depth. They clearly need to be able to extend the mine-life (currently only 7 years) so I am hoping to see increases in resources, reserves, intercepts at depth, extension to mine-life. As they need to satisfy bankers to move forward towards production these issues are very important. Chip | chipperfrd
07/6/2008 13:04 | chip, would we expect to see the NL Indicated, become Measured resource, in this current year? They have been drilling with the new drill for some months. Upside valuation of 1.4M ounces AU would be quite considerable even before mining commences ( 2010?) regds H. | hectorp
07/6/2008 08:56 | More interest in Liberian iron. | encarter
06/6/2008 18:25 | Some more big buys today, post 3663 ditto. A bit of a golden time for me lately, what recession? Keep an eye on CDS 15p/17p, they are looking for oil and a 1m buy today at 20p may be an indication of good news. Also i hear VALIANT INVESTMENTS on the PLUS market own part of a company called Cominco who have just been awarded an exploration license in DRC, but news has not yet been released. Both worth a look imho but dyor. | encarter
06/6/2008 18:18 | I agree! IMO it will be progress at the NL mine which will form the major upside from now on. | chipperfrd
06/6/2008 17:26 | Yes - but Mano own all the Gold and a decreasing amount of the diamonds. | unionhall
06/6/2008 17:24 | Personally, I like diamonds better so I'm looking forward to the results of the valuation of Kono diamonds. | arf dysg
06/6/2008 17:06 | Gold results first I'd say HP then diamonds - imo. | unionhall
06/6/2008 16:53 | There's gold in them thar hills - and to depth... | unionhall
06/6/2008 16:52 | News is coming? We've already had some pretty good news. The deal with Severstal and the interview with the head of Stellar Diamonds should provide plenty for the market to chew on. | arf dysg
06/6/2008 16:25 | In demand today - very leaky ship.... | unionhall
06/6/2008 16:23 | P/E's should reflex the actual and potential life of a mine. Alluvial miners don't tend to have a long defined life and this isn't an issue with the relatively low capex required. Defining more resources as they go is the usual pattern. It is also relatively rare for alluvial miners to define reserves due to the cost (highly variable deposits). Kimberlite miners in general will need to raise finance so have to go through a FS and define a reasonable mine life and both reserves and resources to keep the bankers happy. Even with multiple phases in a kimberlite it is far easier to define resources and upgrade to reserves. A longer likely (and how certain this is) mine life should have a higher PE. | bageo
06/6/2008 15:36 | Shares magazine yesterday had a survey of the diamond explorer/producer sector. They had a table of all the companies they could find, with a one-line comment for each. For Kopane Diamond Developments they said "shares under pressure since funding is an issue". Ha! What do they know? I guess they're only a week or two out of date. In the same table their comment on Mano River Resources mentioned the joint venture with Petra Diamonds and said "jury still out on JV". Ha! Formally, no decision, but that recent interview with the head of Stellar Diamonds tells us that it will be profitable. In the same series of articles, they said that the P/E of companies with alluvial diamonds was lower than that of comanies with hard-rock diamonds. I don't see why that would be true. Can anyone comment? | arf dysg |
