Jester - You need to sack your broker! Even NatWest are offering that many, and below the Ask to boot (8.39 when I last checked)

Hero2 - Volume is currently in and around the monthly average... however I would expect a few more people than normal to change their positions this week to lock in profit/loss for the tax year.

have been topping up the last couple of days as the price is back at bank holiday discount prices and we are due news given the last update was February

AD - At just after 14:00 today, COMEX exchange crossed the $1000. line for a short time, but has since drifted back to $996.

Gold futures have been in access of $1000. for June, July, August etc.

The BBC, in a report on their web site timed at 13:05 today, said that gold had hit £1,000/oz. This is a bit odd, since the graph at the top of this thread shows the price peaking at $997. How big is the spread?

Why is the price just so low though,

it seems to be in a total slump, what is the reason for this, why is it below it usual average of 9p-10p

We are due the New Liberty 2,000m drilling program results as well in the near future hopefully. With Gold at its present highs good results would be a boon. I understand the drilling itself is complete.

MANA is one of my most tasteful investments. I hold a couple of other diamond miners/explorers (KDD & SDS) which are, if that be possible, even more tasteful than MANA.

I apologise to the assembled company for my holding in Corac Group (CRA), which, judging by its share-price behaviour, must be obscenely tasteless. However, my shame is mitigated by the fact that all my other investments are as tasteful as MANA.

One would expect the results of the Kono diamond pack sent to South Africa for grading and valuation to be available pretty soon. They had been sent prior to the Petra Interim accounts in on Feb 19th.

I would expect a general update on stellar in general - Perhaps about IPO - May '08 ?
The processing plant for Bouro - last I heard it was expected to leave South Africa in May with production start-up in August.
Tonga drilling program with BHP in those very high grade kimberlites (hopefully)
Congo - again I believe they are doing some initial work there already tho' main focus of expenditure for Stellar at the moment is Bouro and Tonga.

The IPO will help add impetus to some of the programs as funding is received.

Bouro and Kono production should change the company profile.

A few buyers tempted back in this morning as well. I am hopeful that come the end of the year the current price will look like an absolute steal.

Flash note on Petra contains the following regarding Kono:

In Sierra Leone, Petra continues to believe that there is the possibility of kimberlite blows and pipes on the Kono JV and it will be flying an airborne survey in 2008. Diamond values from one of the Kono fissure trial mines will be announced shortly and a production decision is expected mid-year.

Took the narrowing of the spread as the indicator to top-up this morning. We may not be at the bottom but am confident that within one to three months we'll have seen a bounce back in double figures.

Certainly encouraging and a parcel of diamonds en-route to further grading and sale, no doubt ist sale will instigate more interest here.

How good is 1.1 to 10 carats and one 63 cpht.
