06/6/2008 10:01 | From a petra announcement today.... "In Sierra Leone, Petra is developing a fissure operation with its JV partner Stellar Diamonds and test work to date indicates the potential for economic operations." Pretty much in the bag I would suggest but these guys work slowly and methodically to ensure optimum eventual recovery.... | unionhall
06/6/2008 00:18 | Interesting trades today. MANA are getting noticed now. "Iron-ore activity in Liberia is also gathering pace. Having acquired the mining rights to a major iron-ore deposit in 2006, the Liberia project is an important part of ArcelorMittal's stated ambition to increase its iron-ore selfsufficiency to 75%. Output will begin in 2009, initially at 500,000t/y and increasing to as much as 25Mt/y by 2011. At the end of May, Russia's Severstal reached agreement to purchase up to a 61.5% stake in African Iron Ore Group Ltd (AIOG), which owns, through subsidiaries, the exploration rights for an iron-ore deposit in Liberia's Putu Range area. In addition, Severstal will acquire a 6.29% stake in Mano River Resources, which currently controls AIOG." ""We consider that the Fula Camp project has similar geological characteristics to the shear zone-hosted New Liberty gold deposit located 45km to the southwest, which is being explored and developed by Mano River Resources Inc. New Liberty comprises several isolated, high grade lodes situated along the same structural trend and currently has an NI 43-101 compliant measured and indicated gold resource totalling 1.38Moz." | encarter
05/6/2008 18:06 | Hi Makingheaps! A small world indeed! Bought these a few years ago a 6p or so, only about 1% of the total portfolio, or about 8% of my risky stuff. Looks like my patience could be rewarded at last.... Cheers | stevie blunder
05/6/2008 17:27 | Looks like excellent news. Time to sneak in a quick buy, for those who have some cash. | arf dysg
05/6/2008 15:05 | Noted in today's Q1 results that Stellar IPO "in 2008". I would expect an update on KGL Drilling results before end of next week and a diamond update by the end of the following week - definitely by end June. | unionhall
04/6/2008 01:20 | MDA is just a formality as it will meam massive investment in the area. It should take about 4 months. | encarter
03/6/2008 18:30 | Good to see you here too Stevie!! Great minds think alike | makingheaps
03/6/2008 15:58 | Well, just back from a few weeks break to see the very good news here :-). Does anyone have a notion yet of the time period for "the completion of satisfactory due diligence by Severstal Resurs (which manages all Severstal's mining assets) and on Mano converting its exploration licence into a Mineral Development Agreement ('MDA')"? | simon54
03/6/2008 11:22 | Have a look at CDS. Good news is coming imho but dyor. | encarter
01/6/2008 14:21 | I agree H. I had been getting a bit restless as a long-term holder, and with the credit crunch causing problems with fund-raising, I had thought that maybe I should be reducing somewhat. However, the very positive involvement of Severstal in AIOG and the resulting cash injection could be just what Mano require in order to finally start to move the NL mine towards production. The current share price already looks well supported by Stellar and AIOG, with no valuation for any of the gold assets, so there ought to be significant upside in prospect. Mano are presenting at Minesite on the 19th June so perhaps we will start to get some positive PR at long last. Chip | chipperfrd
01/6/2008 13:22 | I can't really disagree with that. At least two out of three of MANA's project areas will result in considerable success and wealth for shareholders. Possibly all three. In fact the long years of waiting in a trading range 7-15p are nearly over. | hectorp
31/5/2008 20:01 | The iron ore will be the making if MANA. We now have the means to reach production on all fronts, 'A posse ad esse'. | encarter
31/5/2008 14:34 | I personally believe ' iron ore ' will be THE most sought after mineral resource stock preference later THIS year, after coal was earlier this year and uranium start of last year. Plus diamonds' value has been exceptional lately, aswell as gold ofcourse, which although recently dipped in price, no doubt will bounce back to record highs in months/ years ahead. So all looking good for MANA's future. | davethechef

30/5/2008 15:44 | chip lol, and there is the duration of Crime and Punishment to wade through too. Same with many small mining shares, anyhow: MANA is a BUY in spite of the recent tise of 30% according to Investors Chron today. | hectorp
30/5/2008 14:24 | I am impressed at the high literary standard of recent contributions here. Quietly flows the Mano, but of late it has gained new energy. The future's bright. The future's octahedral. | arf dysg
30/5/2008 13:56 | Mano are presenting at the next Minesite on 19th June. Anybody going? Thursdays are difficult for me.... | stevie blunder
