26/10/2007 19:30 | Thanks UH - I loved "too much effort to analyse"! ;-) D'oh, have I missed something? - "the company wants to revisit the plans for developing this property so that extraction does not sterilise gold in the crown pillar under an open pit. New chairman Dave Evans is now contemplating going underground right from the start." I don't think I even understand what 'sterilising' means. Be gentle with me - I've obviously not being paying attention....? | simon54
26/10/2007 13:05 | Iron ore prices set to jump 50% next year By Jon Nones 25 Oct 2007 at 11:17 AM The steel industry is braced for an increase of up to 50% in the contract price of iron ore next year because of strong demand from China and lagging supply, sources say. The iron ore spot-market has already had price increases of up to 145% over the past year. Excluding freight costs, Indian spot prices have surged this week to $130/tonne, up from $53/tonne a year ago. Australian and Brazilian spot prices have jumped 39% and 71% respectively. The quality of Chinese domestic iron ore production fails to improve, while mining companies continue to struggle to increase iron ore output in Australia, the world's biggest exporter. | unionhall

25/10/2007 22:57 | Agree encarter. Is Nimini a possible Centamin-style massive mine licence? or maybe a 2-3 M ounce resource in the making. Hope to see some fine drill samples in 2008. ALso Sonfon Licence has already come up with results ( 7M at 4.8 gnmms) these may both make large resources in time. | hectorp
25/10/2007 21:47 | There's Gold in them there Nimini hills. | encarter
25/10/2007 13:51 | Some positive interest in the diamond co's today, and a few buys here too. and should win the MOSES award for wilderness wondering. M- Most O -often S- suspected E eventual S - success story. | hectorp
25/10/2007 12:31 | Next year they will be in the "Mining Operation of the Year" category !! | unionhall
25/10/2007 10:25 | Lol! Vote duly cast - I think there should be a perseverance award for Mano's investors as well! ;-) | simon54
24/10/2007 22:52 | Vote for Mano in "perseverance" Category of outstanding achievement. (Go to Awards - online voting) | unionhall
22/10/2007 19:39 | Not to fret. Enjoy the quiet-ish MANA, until the time comes. | hectorp
22/10/2007 11:29 | disappointing to see all the sells this morning even if it is in reaction to the main market. 93k chunk just gone through at 11! | jester jim
22/10/2007 11:26 | Nothing unusual about this trading here, not tempted to close in the general market weakness. | hectorp
20/10/2007 12:39 | Loch ness monster or not, as Unionhall states above there are several possible reasons for the share price taking off again. And each year it does just this and sinks back. But each year we are now much closer to seeing some real light and the chances do increase over the next several months to get us over the highs of the last two occasions. Like SEY ( I could argue!) I love a share that is quietly regarded yet has more than one good reason why it may rally. Also if the coming days are to be turmoil in the Large Caps, what better than to be sitting in MANA type situations. | hectorp
20/10/2007 08:30 | Depends on newsflow imho and that should be steady with all that's on the go. | encarter
19/10/2007 22:42 | It's what's known amongst TAists as an 'up and under' formation. This is less predictable than the cup and handle - basically the share price gets booted upwards, everyone runs forward a few months and almost anything can happen after that. Hope that helps:-) | simon54
19/10/2007 19:38 | The long term chart looks suspiciously like the Loch Ness Monster. Hope it is not a mirage. | unionhall
19/10/2007 17:03 | Looking great. Do hope the share price doesn't get carried away, in saying that the 50 day SMA is still way below the 100 and 200. I believe when this crosses the other moving averages this is a bullish sign. Anyone with any charting experience make head or tail of this chart? Must say i'm glad i took my chance to average down, though still holding at an average share price of 11.187p. | bingobarnes |
