19/10/2007 16:37 | Sounds like good timimg HP..... Perhaps the IPO is getting good reviews, or petra have found some more diamonds at kono, or BHP want to JV the Iron, or the recent excellent tonga diamond results have set tongues wagging, or the Gold mine feasibility is looking rosier (IRR 100%+)...... Just a subtle Friday ramp, have a good week-end all... | unionhall
19/10/2007 10:49 | Added 10016 top up at .. 12p. ( big spender). | hectorp

19/10/2007 10:21 | looking promising again. 12p is not enough (see chart), this needs to get to 14p and stay there before going over 15p ! | jester jim
19/10/2007 06:51 | and don't forget the iron. Iron ore production began in Liberia in the early 1950s, spurred by rising post-war global demand for steel. During the 1970s and 1980s, Liberia became a leading world supplier, but production slowed and eventually stopped, thanks to the 1990s civil war and falling world prices. Today, Liberian iron ore is again in demand. I read a report a while back valuing MANA aroud 22p and that was before the recent announcements. Does anyone have a link? | encarter
18/10/2007 22:09 | This may have helped. Next to our licence. | encarter
18/10/2007 21:20 | Would it be mocking the gods to suggest a Mano River Shareholders social gathering should this ever hit 15p? You have to have held the share for a minimum of thirty-five years without complaint if you hope to receive an invitation ;-) | simon54
18/10/2007 20:49 | The director's buy was on Tuesday - I think today's buys drove today's rise. | unionhall
18/10/2007 20:01 | Strange or not , This to me shows a sign of things to come. If the boss buys based on what he has seen , then that can only bode well for the rest of us. This share is on the way UP as far as i'm concerned and any spare cash will buy me more shares. Chris | chris nuttall
18/10/2007 17:05 | STRANGE,SURELY,THAT A BUY OF 'ONLY' £15,000 SHOULD MOVE THE PRICE UP 10%? | hero2
18/10/2007 16:59 | I get the impession a larger orrder is getting foilled around 11p. Lets see if it continues tomorrow. There should also be some arbitrage advantage in holding into the split. | hectorp
18/10/2007 16:55 | Thanks U, thats Mr Evans adding £15,000 worth of shares to take his shareholding to £60,000. Not entirely insignificant! I have averaged down to around 10p having closed at 12's and returned a couple of months ago, added two small batches today but they are only top ups. | hectorp
18/10/2007 15:12 | Another Director buy announced.... | unionhall
18/10/2007 14:13 | Maybe 11.5p next , J-jim. ;-) | hectorp
18/10/2007 13:43 | 10% lovely lovely jubbly! looks like we'll be at 12p again then, where next though? | jester jim
18/10/2007 13:40 | hero2 It is usually not possible to give definitive answers to questions such as yours. But as I tend to buy stocks when I see good upside I am rarely surprised when other market participants also start to see the same potential ! Perhaps the more apt question would be "why have they taken so long to get the message?" | chipperfrd
18/10/2007 13:30 | 11p mid. 6000 bought at 11.38 ( mine) ! | hectorp
18/10/2007 13:14 | 10.75p to sell... ( tried a dummy trade) hero2 - you'll need to read the past 20 or so posts, MANA looks very good value here as it is splitting off its gold /iron and diamond interests. | hectorp
18/10/2007 12:57 | lovely jubbly | jester jim
18/10/2007 12:45 | USEFUL PRICE JUMP-WHY? | hero2
17/10/2007 17:15 | Some big buys today. | encarter
17/10/2007 14:34 | Bit more positive PR: Published: 17 Oct 07 - 10:29 Canadian mining firm SearchGold said on Wednesday that its initial diamond recoveries from its joint venture (JV) Tongo kimberlite project, in Sierra Leone, was "encouraging". SearchGold has partnered with Stellar Diamonds and BHP Billiton on the Tongo project. It said in a statement that it had recovered 1 894 diamonds, totalling 2,05 ct from six 200 kg dry samples. "We are extremely pleased with these results and consider the significant number of diamonds recovered to be a promising indicator of potential grade," Stellar CEO Karl Smithson commented. He said that the JV would now undertake a 1 200 m drilling programme, aimed at locating potential kimberlite pipes or blows. Tongo is located 35km south of the Kono JV between Stellar and Petra Diamonds. Chip | chipperfrd
16/10/2007 23:03 | At $750/oz the Liberty mine should have an IRR of approx 130%.(post tax and royalty) Costs will also have risen in the meantime inevitably but still looks very tasty. | unionhall |
