06/10/2007 15:02 | Forbes? Isn't that read by millionaires and aspirant millionaires? Sounds like a useful mention. Hectorp, some people may not know that "chronos" means time, which is how we get chronicle, chronometer and chronic. Anachronism - that which exists in the wrong time, such as a Model T Ford in today's world, a jet aircraft in the year 1900, or a 9p price for Mano shares today. :) :) | ![]() arf dysg
06/10/2007 12:00 | We are getting a bit of attention now. Forbes and Mineweb are both carrying the Putu update. FORBES MINEWEB | ![]() encarter

05/10/2007 19:40 | encarter thanks I note the lack of an h in 'anachronistic' in my last post. as from the greek 'chronos' the root is Xronos = 'Chronos' with the Scottish loch sound. Thank you for correcting me.. ;-) | ![]() hectorp

04/10/2007 20:57 | Had a brief conversation with Luis Da Silva this afternoon. He is following Dr Elder's trend in being accessible to PI's. Nothing price sensitive as one might expect but a definite feeling that the three strands of Diamond, Gold and Iron are well set on their individual tracks with a greater focus, through the new advisors, on promotion of the company. Not surprisingly as the directors have been buying recently they feel the company is undervalued. Good luck all.... | ![]() unionhall
04/10/2007 16:09 | Many share prices seem incongruous on the surface, but we has investors can never be fully up to date with the facts. I'm hoping that these are indeed anachronistic (anacronistic) as I bagged a few today. | ![]() encarter
03/10/2007 20:03 | We could try encouraging other posters to here, - not a ramp, but MANA is going to be a success one way or the other and its current share price seems anacronistic. | ![]() hectorp

03/10/2007 14:47 | Mano is shaping up very nicely and I believe that by year end more of the so called Market will realise why I considered it such a cheap stock. I already have a large enough stake to keep me happy-however I am still awaiting news on our GOLD before I invest another great dollop. | ![]() richgit
03/10/2007 12:12 | Note that first thing that LDS mentions in his piece is the transport and shipping. The up front cost of this will be huge and means the inclusion of a major for this project is essential. The results of the pre-feasibility will be very interesting. MJ Luis da Silva, CEO of Mano added: "Mano intends to fast-track the deposit to the pre-feasibility stage. We plan to undertake a scoping study on the transport and shipping options via the potential deepwater port at Greenville which is located only 100km south west of Putu. | ![]() mjcrockett
03/10/2007 11:52 | I wonder why the historic estimate excluded the surface hematititic ore? | simon54
03/10/2007 11:44 | 900 million tonnes of ore, say 540 million tonnes of iron, maybe 30 billion dollars worth of iron? Net present value would of course be a small fraction of this, but would be many times Mano's current price. I also liked the bit about more accessible (near-surface) ore being of higher grade, and the bit about the low cost of extraction. | ![]() arf dysg
03/10/2007 11:35 | H - true, and I have also traded along the way, so I should not complain (just a bit grumpy this morning :-[ ) However, I dispair at the lack of active PR, especially in Canada. At least we can normally expect the Canadians to spot a good prospect but the trading on the TSX is totally moribund! Chip | ![]() chipperfrd
03/10/2007 11:20 | Morning and greetings Nathand, Morning chip, I agree re yesterday's results, though whether there will be any change in that particular aspect, who knows. But the company now have three horns or trumpets to blow, and with the separation of the diamond interests etc we should surely see different approaches to publicity etc. ( publicity? Mana?) My only concern is really Kono, fingers crossed for the 1000 tonne samples by next spring, or it is down the drain. The iron ore news today on the face of it does seem very substantial , as do the grades and volumes being discussed. - As to being in MANA for years etc, I agree, but twice I've taken close to 40% off the table in the past two or so years, and reinvested back around here, so I am not complaining. As with SEY there have been great gains in long-term trading and none if simply invested. H. | ![]() hectorp
03/10/2007 11:07 | I hesitate to comment, having been a holder for more years than I care to remember. MANO seems to be so far below the investment radar it is almost irrelevent what news they release. However, perhaps we will now see a change in style from the 'Tom Elder' type release which, with so many disclaimers at the front end, made it highly unlikely any prospective buyer would have the stamina to wade through to the important bits - yesterdays interims were a good example.
