23/5/2018 11:29 | davesailing, face facts!! MAGP couldn't make a profit when the oil price was over US$100 per bbl. Why? Because it's operating costs are far too high! Look at the salary it pays the CEO, RW. Also her family are also on the MAGP payroll/gravy train. FLETCHER has called this correct for years and yet the delusional mug punters believed RW instead. Look at the mugs over on the lse bb. They called themselves "maggots" and "sailed in the good ship Magnolia". Well the ship has finally sunk taking all hands (mug punters) down with it! | ![]() papillon
23/5/2018 11:26 | davesailing I think the pressure is coming from the bank to pay off the loan and the company doesn't have the cash to hand to do that and isn't generating cash at a rate that would satisfy a staggered reduction. The only option is to divest a number of wells to raise the cash - but how many wells? Then from the rump of wells left, how much revenue and gross profit would be generated, to cover all Admin overheads, mindful that the company still has significant creditors other than the bank? | ettienne1951
23/5/2018 11:03 | The oil price has been rising and is now just over $70/barrel and still the management can't make any money..... | ![]() davesailing
23/5/2018 10:01 | davesailing Firstly, read the 2016 directors' report and their note on 'Going Concern' then read the audit report and the remarks about 'Going concern. Then look at the balance sheet for that year and the balance sheet at H1 last September. The current ratios were incredibly low so it's not only the bank that was owed money. They divested a few wells last year with the proceeds going to pay down some debt. The shares in issue were massively diluted last year and all they raised was $300k to be used to pay for some capex or new drilling. The share price drifted lower to the point where further fundraising from another placing was out of the question as I've written previously. As a consequence, further divestment of wells this year would be inevitable in my view if they were to pay down the debt. However, with a reduction in the producing well count as a consequence would come a reduction in revenue and gross profit. I suspect their cash flow projections determined that they wouldn't be generating sufficient free cash flow in that event. Also, who knows how much pressure might the creditors have been exerting. Taking the company off AIM would reduce the Admin overhead by c£100k and since a company's reason for being on an exchange is to raise capital and that avenue was blocked for the foreseeable future, that overhead would be a candidate for the chop. | ettienne1951

23/5/2018 08:55 | 16 April 2018 However, the company said the rise in the oil price meant it was producing positive cash flow from its existing operations. Working capital continued to be managed 'carefully' in light of future planned well drilling, it added. At 31 March, the company said it had 119 producing wells in its portfolio and 11 new wells proposed. | ![]() davesailing

23/5/2018 08:51 | 16 April 2018 Total net proved developed producing reserves (PDP) of 274.475 Mbbl oil and condensate and 1,692.497 MMCF of gas (1 January 2017: 282.686 Mbbl of oil and condensate and 2,343.116 MMcf gas) US$4,002,000 value (NPV9) of total net PDP reserves (1 January 2017: US$4,026,000) provides strong asset backing Debt reduction programme ongoing and the Company is considering further non-core disposals. Working capital continues to be managed carefully in light of future planned participation in wells. Following the rise in the price of oil, the Company is producing positive cash flow from its existing operations and this is expected to increase further since revenues lag oil prices by a number of months. | ![]() davesailing
