17/3/2023 13:48 | we are now 25% off from 220 sooner or later anyone with spare £ will see this is bargain time | adejuk
17/3/2023 13:46 | cfro Thats one thing I do know - that the shorters know they will be forfeiting the divi and they are not stupid people. We are still on the way down with no respite in sight at the moment | scruff1
17/3/2023 13:46 | shorters don't know and don't care all they know is if they keep selling, when peeps are scared to buy, the share price will fall. simples but it will end soon | adejuk
17/3/2023 13:44 | Overbought on takeover tittle tattle. | red ninja
17/3/2023 13:42 | The shorters obviously know more about the situation than we do. We are down over 20% in a few days and no one on here really knows why | scruff1
17/3/2023 13:41 | Don't think it's getting shorted. This was massively overbought on the back of takeover gossip and the fall is also fuelled by ex-div. | thebutler
17/3/2023 13:41 | Of course, it is not nice but at least we all get the bumper dividend which certainly helps. I will gladly take mine off the shorters that are obliged by law to pay it Lol.. | cfro
17/3/2023 13:37 | cfro meanwhile the value of our holding plummets it will take a few months but will recover remember 08/9 ? | adejuk
17/3/2023 13:33 | The shorters are playing a very dangerous game here. We just don't know if Macquarie will make an offer or not, perhaps they won't but if they do then on the face of it being short is not brave it's just plain stupid. | cfro
17/3/2023 12:33 | EURO ZONE BANKS TO REPAY 87.7 BLN OF TRLTRO FUNDS TO THE ECB EARLY.And still they continue to dump | dope007
17/3/2023 12:28 | So dividend cover has slumped progressively from +3.43 in 2019 to -(minus)3.37 in 2022?!!! | cassini
17/3/2023 12:11 | Anyone seen the latest figure fer dividend cover? | gbh2
17/3/2023 11:59 | Some banks must still have liquidity problems looking at the flows into gilts and asset liquidations elsewhere | eurofox
17/3/2023 11:56 | 11.08% :-) | skinny
17/3/2023 11:04 | I think it's 11.1% at the moment. | cassini

17/3/2023 10:05 | Exposed to credit suisse imo, fed stepped in, time to buy imho. | dutch123
17/3/2023 10:00 | best thing is to not buy or sell anything, because there has to be counterparties to all transactions, including shorters, unless this is options traders taking on more risk/downside protection | eurofox
17/3/2023 09:48 | we clearly have shorters here not that it matters but does anyone know who? | adejuk
17/3/2023 09:45 | Selling pressure has come from both retail and instuons in the last week. The MS Futures Content team highlighted that Friday and Monday combined for the largest two-day increase in new shorts added in S&P 500 futures since March 2020 (rolls-adjusted), with an esmated $49bn of new shorts iniated. And on top of that, MarkIt data suggests 1 zScore short addions in ETFs and 2 zScore short addions in US single-names over the last week. On top of that, retail has been a small net seller of equies in the last week (<$2bn net sold), a -1.1 zScore event versus the last two years, based on QDS’s model based on public data. Some of these shorts are likely coming off today, and more could come off in the near-term – but those are short-term supports, not longer-term ones.” (Morgan Stanley) This was on Wifey on twitter yesterday, he is a mind of free information | nerja
17/3/2023 09:36 | Well if someone was interested in buying these at 220 then surely they'd be more interested now? | spawny100
17/3/2023 09:26 | Thanks Skinny and eurofox | tuftymatt |
