09/3/2023 21:52 | Cjac How do you read todays results? ...I have a few here too!!! but many more in AV at the moment | 1robbob
09/3/2023 18:03 | Well the unholy trinity is complete Picked up a few on bid left at 209 Thank you Una Now sit and wait dividends in the short term looking good But still keeping liquidity Will look at Abdn if drops below 180 can t believe it's at these levels but hey ho These three making up for that clanger Happy daze | jubberjim
09/3/2023 14:16 | 7.5% yield should see the share price at around 258p levels! So it’s more likely that the share price is range bound between 210 and 230 levels for now/ | gurunostradamus
09/3/2023 13:58 | Fair - I misunderstood. Apologies. | brucie5
09/3/2023 13:23 | Brucie - the post I was answering was using an illustrative 7.5% yield to justify a higher share price. Perhaps it could have been expressed better. My view is that 7.5% is not exceptional and MNG will struggle to get through resistance at 220. As I also said, I hope my post does not age well. | lord gnome
09/3/2023 12:29 | And Yahoo Finance agrees. | brucie5
09/3/2023 12:24 | Lord Gnome - 09 Mar 2023 - 10:49:22 - 3154 of 3162 M&G - MNG There's nothing exceptional about a 7.5% yield right now. CSN? LGEN? Plenty more outside financials as well. I'd say the price is right. -------------------- 19.6p full year dividend is 8.8% is it not? | brucie5
09/3/2023 12:02 | I had a load at 182 sold at 214 bought back at 221 can't be bothered to work it out but for me the divi is prob well over 10% and the cap growth what's not to like? and a poss t/o? | adejuk
09/3/2023 11:38 | Hopefully my post will not age well. | lord gnome
09/3/2023 11:26 | Cheers Skinny 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
09/3/2023 11:23 | We actually hit 229.90p last week. At 220p, the yield is nearer 9% on today's dividend announcement? | skinny
09/3/2023 10:53 | Yeah I would agree with that. I think we hit 228 recently and have seen 225 today so without takeover news I think we are about there. Very happy to hold for the divi and would top up again too if we get back to circa 210 for whatever reason. Good luck all 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
09/3/2023 10:49 | There's nothing exceptional about a 7.5% yield right now. CSN? LGEN? Plenty more outside financials as well. I'd say the price is right. | lord gnome
09/3/2023 10:23 | Looks to me like there'll be no problem at all going above the arbitrary number 220 in the weeks and months ahead. Divi of 7.5% seems about right or generous even, so work the price out from that. | pierre oreilly
09/3/2023 10:19 | Mixed results. But is generating surplus cash, hence buyback and increasing already high divi. If you want to know the real thoughts of the directors of the mid term future, don't read the bumpf, look at the divi. | pierre oreilly
09/3/2023 10:09 | Looks like this isn’t going above 220 any time soon. That resistance is proving a tough nut to crack. | lord gnome
09/3/2023 09:32 | The presentation slides on the company website are unusual….they scream “under new management” to me……R Any one wanting to buy now knows what the internal pitch by the new executives looks like…… The results themselves are very mixed…..the asset manager has had a poor year, the wealth business a better one and heritage as expected. The presentation feels v different to LGEN and AVIVA who have basically sorted out their business model and know the way forward….MNG has the feel of an unbalanced tripod searching for its sweet spot. | 1jat
09/3/2023 09:04 | The key here is the turnaround in investment performance. Funds under management should rise accordingly. There should be a re-rate, otherwise a takeover on the cheap won't be far away.Prufunds comments are also highly relevant - they've done very well over the last year or two, according to my wife's portfolio (which has beaten my pension fund return). | markingtime
09/3/2023 08:57 | Wow that's some share price action since my post 40 minutes ago!! 😀👍 | tuftymatt
09/3/2023 08:45 | Dividend of 9.4% - no point in trading these at this level, buy them in your ISA and take the tax free dividend until they get taken over- simple! Don’t try to be clever by trading and taking on stress! | gurunostradamus
09/3/2023 08:42 | Aviva results also out today and share price flying there as well. M&Gs numbers don't look that great to me but this outfit has always looked like a bit of a scruffy orphan looking for a good home. The way the share price is moving suggests that it may well have found one! | ygor705 |
