05/3/2015 14:05 | envirovision, just rule of thumb guide I use, (15*Profit) divided by number of shares. I'm sure there are lots of reasons why this isn't appropriate way of setting a take profit figure. It's just a level I use when I start thinking a share is over priced. | chector177
04/3/2015 11:35 | Dividend yield is disappointing. To match PDG and INCH yield % the price will have to drop to about 130p, or div rise to 3.4p for a share price of 155p which is what I would have expected from results like these. I note that their KPI's do not include anything on shareholder returns. | bigbertie
04/3/2015 09:24 | apologies - will move to respected boards | envirovision
04/3/2015 09:06 | enviro, would appreciate your view on PHTM?, if you have one, no position there atm. Not looked at VTU for sometime, holding some HEAD atm. Apologies folks for the off topic post. | essentialinvestor
04/3/2015 09:03 | Indeed, it may bounce off and hold £1.40 though should provide support would have though not to go below. Regards growth I drew between the lines organic growth has pretty much run its course and further growth will need to be through acquisition this was their guidance: "The UK new car market has benefited from three years of strong growth which we now expect to stabilise" coupled with: "The new financial year has started well with group results to date being in line" What do you think of VTU EI? | envirovision
04/3/2015 08:58 | I agree, fairly valued. The latter 6 months didn't look as strong as the first. I think this to do with the stabilisation mentioned in the outlook, after years of growth. | tradingcoder
04/3/2015 08:25 | Astute observation as per usual enviro IMV, have made a similar point re yield. It looks a sell the news type morning with several companies reporting being knocked down, may change later. | essentialinvestor
04/3/2015 08:18 | Probably the low yield chector177 which is underwhelming Growth was good but is it sustainable, probably not. Looks fair value, where did you get £2.32? | envirovision
04/3/2015 08:15 | Have I missed something, very muted response from the share price first thing. | chector177
04/3/2015 07:16 | Fantastic results. That's moved my target to 232p | chector177
03/3/2015 15:32 | Results tomorrow, this has better margains than pdg and look at there rise lately. Not going to make fste250 this time but lots of takeovers to complete in the next few months so may jump in fste250. | rolo7
13/2/2015 22:06 | a breakout with share volume! | rolo7
10/2/2015 08:19 | Party might be over for a while looking like a double top. | werty5
05/2/2015 10:41 | best car sales in 8 years for jan | envirovision
30/1/2015 16:02 | 1st 3k buy for me, cup with handle on chart? possible fste250 entry? improving margins and cheaper fuel prices. | rolo7
30/1/2015 15:38 | Nice pick up through January. | chector177
14/1/2015 13:00 | try again then.... | chickcrumbs
12/11/2014 08:03 | It seems the answer was no 140 seems to be tough resistance | werty5
11/11/2014 14:44 | So are we going to break above 140 this time? Hope so. | chickcrumbs
31/10/2014 16:46 | Extraordinary closing auction today. More shares changed hands in the auction than through the whole day up to the auction. Uncrossed 4p above the pre-auction price. Obviously trading well as per IMS, but isn't now the time for Lookers to clear debt and prepare for a downturn? The sector has some history of being overextended at the wrong time. Just a thought .... | ed 123
29/10/2014 09:00 | Also notice the nice gap up the last time Lookers price had a gap like that was when the price was at more or less the same level as it is today, that is when the share price had it's bull run to just above £1.50 lets hope history repeats itself. | werty5
28/10/2014 08:07 | Yes very positive statement which hopefully will push the share price back to over 150p.......I also sense some significant corporate activity in the not too distant future.....time will tell! | jaf111
28/10/2014 07:17 | Reading the statement the most interesting word is sustainable meaning the BOD clearly expects to keep outperforming the car market, I have no reason to doubt this as they have been doing this for some time now. | werty5
28/10/2014 07:08 | Nice statement as predicted now it needs to reflect in the share price. | werty5
17/10/2014 12:47 | Been bottom fishing here as it seems to offer good value at this price.... | chickcrumbs |
