01/7/2014 13:35 | hope I didn't mislead you to a fortune,lol | manrobert
01/7/2014 13:27 | My purchase last week must have stirred the market. I saw a comment that the new pension rules (allowing a larger lump sum to be taken) will encourage pensioners to buy new cars! Golf club car parks will have to be enlarged to take all those new Jags & BMWs. Onward & upwards. | bigbertie
01/7/2014 13:13 | looks like someone pressed the go button on Friday here. | manrobert
30/6/2014 10:06 | good to see more director buying on Friday. | manrobert
27/6/2014 17:24 | bigbertie,yes pleased your off to a great start,i have got 15000 bt at around 139. | manrobert
27/6/2014 13:45 | manrobert, addition looking good already, papers today commenting on surging population and increasing consumer confidence in UK. Hope you are holding. cheers, bigbertie | bigbertie
26/6/2014 16:25 | good luck with your addition. | manrobert
26/6/2014 16:05 | OK I've considered it (post 1100) and just added some more at 123p. | bigbertie
26/6/2014 15:04 | you have to consider that a director spent over £200000 of his own money buying shares up to 149p and the company stated that it expects results to be ahead of market expectations. | manrobert
26/6/2014 09:52 | It's really getting a good shake-out now! I keep getting the urge to add some more but the graph still looks nasty. As farmers say (I'm told) "when in doubt do nowt". | bigbertie
24/6/2014 11:13 | Grinder, I'm holding on here too - UK new car sales still rising, and an interest rate rise is unlikely for a few months yet IMHO and anyway will still leave interest rates very low. I think Lookers is sensibly run and the p/e is not too demanding. No advice intended of course. Good luck. | bigbertie
24/6/2014 09:00 | I have been in LOOKERS since April 14, and it's a shame the price since then seems to be out of favour. but yet checking through the fundamentals again, to me it still appears a good cheap stock. So hopefully the markets will recognise this soon. I remain bullish | grindertrader
11/6/2014 09:47 | Agree with your frustration re continuing lackluster share price of LOOK but the same point could be made of other car dealers such as PDG and CAMB especially with continuing positive market conditions. Certainly CFYN have had a good run recently but they are so much cheaper than LOOK or the other car dealers and I would expect (hope) for the catch-up to continue. I remain bullish on the sector and am long LOOK PDG CAMB and CFYN. | jaf111
11/6/2014 08:54 | cant understand why this is not motoring ahead after large director buys at up to 149.i also have caffyns which have advanced well. | manrobert
30/5/2014 11:39 | Good results for Caffyn today at time of posting share price up over 11% lets hope we see some cross over onto Lookers share price. | werty5
14/5/2014 08:05 | predictably good, but the market needs to catch up. | sammu
14/5/2014 07:59 | Could not ask much more than that in a IMS. | werty5
14/5/2014 07:22 | think we can now see why the director was so positive with recent buys, lets hope the market responds the same, | manrobert
29/4/2014 11:10 | The overall new car market has been excellent- IMS due mid May. www.theguardian.com/ | sammu
28/4/2014 08:24 | the recent director buys would suggest that the march new car registrations will not disappoint. | manrobert
14/3/2014 14:54 | I always invest for the long term Bertie so I can wait. Good luck with Lookers. I just feel there is not much mileage left considering the 20% discount share open offer back in 2009 but who knows. I usually get out too early!! | 1fox1 |
