10/1/2014 21:44 | Not before time that this is picking up before the next update (presumably in March). It's been limp since the bumper update at end October! | bones
23/12/2013 09:21 | come on Lookers, isn't anyone buying cars for Xmas? | bigbertie
10/12/2013 17:00 | Not before time. Really this should be careering up to 140p but I suspect it was eased back to facilitate some profit-taking and deal-making at good prices while relieving the panic-stricken of their shares! | bones
04/12/2013 17:47 | Should be an interesting time, I will stay for the time being.Seen these out of turn falls before, but I can understand your decision...The next few weeks could be very interesting. | miikke
04/12/2013 14:27 | Now its dipped passed its 120p support level, likely to drop further to circa 110p. If it dips below that too, 100p very likely. With no news on the horizon forecast until the March full year results, theirs no fuel to propel the share price 'm out. Will look for a suitable re-entry point, perhaps on run up to the results. Hopefully at 100p or less. Good luck all. | nhp5
25/11/2013 19:50 | Bones I hold VTU and LOOK as well. Not impressed at all. I hope we get some positive news and an improvement in both SPs in double quick time. | the juggler
25/11/2013 18:28 | and Vertu. Seems to be a rotation out of the sector by traders after strong runs. Lookers is dropping back to its strong support area of 120p but it has fallen out of the uptrend channel as well, which is not encouraging me as I hold these! The path to here over the last year has been a bit spiky so I will not be concerned unless price breaks down and heads to 115p! Relative strength is looking weak too so a bit more upbeat news would not go amiss to kick start us again. | bones
25/11/2013 12:59 | What's going on with car dealers at the moment? Both Lookers and Pendragon down from recent highs... | slinkychris
15/11/2013 15:58 | Another good volume day. Chart looks ready to break free. | amelio
11/11/2013 20:47 | Couple of 700k trades at 129.75 leads to a rise with volume: | bones
08/11/2013 19:33 | Thanks for that snippet Bones. Any publicity is good. | the juggler
08/11/2013 19:31 | For the record, Shares magazine this week updated their July tip on Lookers at 115p, saying to "Stick with Lookers, a motor trader outperforming in a buoyant market" (at published price of 129p). | bones
08/11/2013 19:08 | The whole market has been off for last couple of days and almost everything down. No concerns here, the trend will continue upward. Car sales have been phenomenal according to everything I have read so the value will appear soon enough. | the juggler
05/11/2013 23:15 | All the indications here are positive. My order is in for the morning as I shall be crawling along the M1 when the market opens :-( | the juggler
05/11/2013 22:08 | Following on from Pete's comments (1044), I agree with the sentiments as evidenced by the chart below. This seems to show a clear pennant (if you take the sloping down top) or flag (if you assume the box). Either way, this implies a 30p move up from the base of the box (following the 30p flagpole from 97p (baseline) to 127p (top of box). I have a short term target of 150p based on this together with the aggressively positive comments by the company last week. | bones
04/11/2013 11:49 | For those interested in charting, they may already have noted that the lookers share price has been developing a classic continuation pattern for the last few weeks. These things are always a little debatable and dependent on the scale you use but arguably there have been three points of contact on the upper resistance line and three points on the lower support line, plus the original line that pierced the base in the first place. Last week the line also passed strongly upwards through resistance. All in all, that looks like a clear trend to me. If it is, and only time will tell, then we are in for a rise of at least 8p (the height of the channel) and, if we have continuing good news plus the effect of the current bull market, then we might see a little more. I'd better not stick my neck out further than that, but I confidently added this morning. We will see. GL to all holders. Pete. | petersinthemarket
30/10/2013 08:11 | Significant breakout CR | cockneyrebel
30/10/2013 07:13 | .....and not to be outdone by PDG LOOK IMS also materially ahead of current market expectations...... Hopefully this will halt the recent underperformance of LOOK.... | jaf111
28/10/2013 07:50 | PDG materially ahead Following continued performance improvement, the Group is now anticipating to be materially ahead of expectations for the full year. The Group is pleased with progress across all areas with gross and departmental profit ahead in each of our key sectors of aftersales, used and new. The improved performance of the Group is due to a combination of the strategic initiatives which we have embedded in the business, and improved market conditions | jaf111
26/10/2013 12:02 | Difficult to complain about the share price of Lookers....BUT analysis posted on VTU board from spooky shows quite an under-performance which is probably unjustified.....so expect some some catch-up.... "Since April the sector has been very strong: Pendragon- +70% Cambrian - +90% Lookers - +45% Owen - More than +100% Vertu - +100%" | jaf111
24/10/2013 12:07 | UK car production continues to strengthen: Not sure how this impacts retail sales but hopefully positive :) | slinkychris
02/10/2013 16:17 | Lucky Mr. & Mrs. Price hope it proves a good buy for Lookers. | chickcrumbs |
