30/11/2011 10:57 | Lookers share price is responding to weak consumer demand in the uk. It remains a wellrun business with strong asset backing, cash generative and pays a good dividend. Someone (Inchcape?) may take a longer term view on the value of Lookers. Trefick had wanted to do a deal - but the muted price was rejected. They have about 16% and Tony Bramall has about 24%.
