Heads Up on timw3. Shame on you. This is the LONMIN BB. You sound like one of the students who registered home and away and make the Election Result a farce.

Obviously immediate Filter.

Good points all - I had just bought in the 90s as a short term trade and had the stop at 80. With short term trades you have to be strict with SLs or you can get burnt

Nothing ever stops at round figures. May dip slightly further tomorrow, But feel that we are around sensible buying prices. I dipped my toes in @ 79p and will be able to sleep ok tonight.

a slight small dip in price before shooting up is not a bad thing, once platinum really starts to rise back to its normal level im expecting lonmin start to picking up pace.

Don't know, considering we had a reassuring RNS last week, only negative the price of platinum has fell back today but still higher then previous.

Unfortunately China put the skids under commodity shares Friday with their assertion that there were speculators pushing steel prices above the underlying demand price for the stuff.Rio Tinto and BHP with their iron ore exposure got the biggest hit,but all across the commodity spectrum were affected.Gold miners were spared because of their safe haven credentials regarding the N.Korea situation, but Anglo American/Lonmin, with their pgm exposure, got nobbled as collateral damage.Hopefully the platinum price increase will reassert itself as a determining factor in the Lonmin share price, and the share price starts moving up again next week.Any further rand depreciation will also help Lonmin's cause immensely so let's hope for that too. However with the dollar down nearly 10% from its highs already this year,i'm not sure how much further it can realistically fall imho.
