Get the impression that Lonmin,with bringing the date of Q3 2017 production report forward by a couple of weeks recently,at very short notice,and the release of the RNS today,is trying to counteract the 'bear' attacks and the shorters of the share price.The motives of the shorters is to drive the share price so low as to jeopardise the banking covenants that Lonmin has with its lenders,forcing another cash raising by the company.It's all very high stakes,but hopefully those with a vested interest in keeping Lonmin afloat will prevail.

Looks like the RNS had been taken quite positive the market, as it seen to reduce the chances of another Rights Issue. Onwards and upwards hopefully.

Agree umitw.Posters so used to negative stories and a bad vibe around this company that a positive RNS has mixed reviews.Ben and his team are totally preoccupied with cost-cutting and increased productivity.What is there not to like about that?

Good. If it can generate 50m usd per year in cash flow after capex it will be worth 500m versus current 250m

Glencore cut debt went 60p £350 not sure to but reducing overhead is good imo! Think best to wait if not sure I'm sure if people appears it a buy! Lol! Gla!

Platinum recently broke of of a major downtrend and is well out of the channel and rising.

You guys should see some really decent gains here.

At last....worth the wait.Bullish signals on pgm prices finally, and USd strengthening against Zar.Strong resistance at 13 rand/dollar shown for months now so if gold and platinum can keep rising with a weakening dollar, and 10 year US treasury yields stay in the 2-2.5% range,we're good to go higher.US jobs number tomorrow so have to see how this affects dollar strength.
