18/7/2008 15:44 | Yes and 1 sell and the share price drops? | ![]() ackland
18/7/2008 13:50 | Yes all the sales are being hoovered up but the share price wont move, again this is a classic bit of manipulation by the MMs | waynz
17/7/2008 11:30 | Buys are crushing sells and yet the share price is down? MM's don't want this to move yet. I find it interesting to note certain stocks that seem to be "allowed" free movement and others that are seemingly deliberately contained. | meanm
16/7/2008 14:10 | Are either of the two exec directors single? Might marry one of them for a couple of years whilst they have their paws in this honeypot. Having trashed the company they now want bonuses?? Not with my vote they don't | whatsnewpussycat
16/7/2008 09:53 | Price just dropped to 4.85p.... Maybe everyone else has read the notice of the General Meeting? | city girl
16/7/2008 08:57 | A question, if I may? Why do you believe that no matter how low the MM's short this stock, the level of triggered sales do not really amout to a great deal? It was at 4.8p today and yet very little selling. I do find it amusing (I am a masochist) that through very little selling the s.p.(100k shares) falls by 15% and yet will all that buying the previous day (1.5Mill shares) it doesn't move upward at all. And people tell me the share price has nothing to do with the MM's intentions. Really? | meanm
16/7/2008 08:06 | In the last six months alone these guys have flushed over £100m of shareholders funds down the toilet. Now they want bonuses? As ever it will decided by the institutional shareholders who are usually as spineless as a jellyfish when it comes to something like this. I hope that for once they stand up for all shareholders and tell these guys to take a hike. | city girl
16/7/2008 07:59 | I think we should propose to buy them a yacht each too, so they have somewhere to drink the champagne bought with shareholder funds. | ![]() davius
16/7/2008 07:40 | In the notice of the General Meeting we're being asked to approve the award of retention bonuses to two executive directors (RA & PM) of 100% and 75% respectively. Any comments? | city girl
14/7/2008 15:50 | Some larger PLUS buys today, which were added to the 2 X 300,000 (£33,600) purchases on the main market and heavy buying day in general (£89,000): 14/07/2008 15:28:01 5.50 500,000 O £27,500.00 14/07/2008 15:27:55 5.45 500,000 O £27,250.00 Clearly some speculation or, possibly, speculating. | meanm
14/7/2008 07:58 | if they follow AL. that would equal a 40% premium to the previous close or around 7.95p - ain't to hot as I would hope for more - all imho | ![]() grlz
14/7/2008 07:25 | Lets hope these follow A&L. | ![]() ackland
12/7/2008 10:06 | cheers mean, a great post....in your mind what would a potential take over price be...have you done any mental sums? | ![]() cyclingnut
11/7/2008 13:17 | Cyc - Clearly most of those sells were institutions selling in smaller blocks! I am actally reasonably positive about LSB now. The board have announced everything in "worst case" terms and I can't see the losses they have forecasted ever being realised. The market as a whole is re-acting to any seemingly negative news in an overblown manner. LSB's news in terms of results and losses couldn't have been "put" in any worse terms and yet there has not actually been that much selling. Most investors are holding tight, quite wisely in my opinion. Moreover, the company has secured lending, which if they had not, I would have been concerned about. But they did manage that, in tight economic conditions, at a favourable rate. They also sold LSIF for a substantial sum and, in doing so, reduced the shortfall in regulatory capital requirement. With the closure of branches and the merging of the Unsecured Lending divisions the company's losses will be brought under control. Thankfully, RW continues to perform well, as does the Mortgage division, which althought it may not be writing any new business, it will continue to generate profit. All of these factors will make LSB a fairly attractive proposition in terms of a T.O. News will undoubtedly break soon. | meanm
11/7/2008 12:33 | Some of them have been in post for several years. That's one long conversation! | city girl
11/7/2008 10:39 | If they are in talks...then they can't buy shares!! | ![]() cyclingnut
10/7/2008 14:12 | You know, I'd feel a damn sight more comfortable if I saw the directors of LSB buying shares in their own company but they seem remarkably reluctant to do so. I've just looked and the collective shareholding of the board is derisory. Some don't hold any shares at all. What does that say about their confidence in what they're doing? I'm not running for the exit....yet. | city girl
10/7/2008 14:03 | That'll be a no then cn. | ![]() davius
10/7/2008 10:48 | anyone else remotely worried about the fact that it seems that EVERYONE is running for the exits today.....quite a lot of volume and quite a lot of sells! | ![]() cyclingnut |
