25/6/2008 12:10 | Just gone into auction at 8p. Could this be news leaking that the informal approach from Gregory King might have some mileage? | davius
25/6/2008 10:48 | rns today looks like a big sell was behind the fall last week - (distressed seller ??) | wiltsplayer
24/6/2008 11:30 | So resolution have made a tentative offer to buy a large stake in B&B then. The idea is to consolidate a number of smaller banks into a single stronger unit. Perhaps they'd be interested in picking up a mightly fine debt collection agency, for say, 12p a share? Good synergies as they could use their own business to chase the mortgage defaulters :) | davius
24/6/2008 09:43 | the company should make a statement to calm the waters........ | cyclingnut
24/6/2008 09:38 | Consider this, last week the F.T. started rumours about a rights issue on the scale of "£45 million" and that the new issue was to be "at a massive discount to yesterday's price (8.63p)." However, if that was really the case, then why would Ashton reject Gregory King's offer of underwriting a "new share issue priced at around 8p a share????" | meanm
24/6/2008 08:19 | That is the point exactly, the MM's are targetting LSB. Just don't be shaken off and I am sure there is profit to be had. You see it with far more stable companies than LSB. Look at BNLN. That company announces new business after new business, and yet it always follows the MM's movement. Nonsense. Don't let them spook you. | meanm
24/6/2008 08:05 | Crikey look at the teeth on him (the mm, as yet again this is marked down)! | cyclingnut
24/6/2008 07:55 | Strewth, in auction at 6.6p, this share is sent to torment us... | davius
24/6/2008 07:44 | Spoken too soon, clearly... | davius
24/6/2008 07:34 | There seems to be a keen buyer at 7.5p this morning, happy to take any shares being offered... | davius
23/6/2008 14:29 | yep now swimming against the tide | grlz
23/6/2008 11:09 | and down again..............n | cyclingnut
23/6/2008 10:08 | moving up, interesting.. | grlz
23/6/2008 09:56 | cyc - [growl]........Not so much bearish just realistic, I do own a small holding so i'm keeping a toe in the water, but that's money I can afford to risk As for the share price who knows as the waters are muddy until Ashton delivers more news. It could still pop or slam the floor imho I like the strategy LSB is trying to action, but i'm not planning investing in it seriously until their done fundraising - I don't mind missing a few pennies if the story looks good. Could be another Northgate (NIS). A basket case that blossoms into a decent business, but to early to tell at this point. | grlz
23/6/2008 09:30 | (bear)grlz, Where do you see the share price going over the next 2-3months? | cyclingnut
23/6/2008 08:51 | so Mathon offered to underwrite an issue for a potential 25% discount to the then share price (10.7p) very opportunistic bid by King - I'm happy that Ashton chased him, Mathon's business is poorly run in my experience and less than innovative so the thought of holding a stake in that would have me reaching for the sell button. | grlz
23/6/2008 08:38 | Speculation, but LSB is sufficiently low priced to attract attention regarding RW I'd have thought. The market certainly hasn't reacted as though it takes the suggestions seriously so far. | davius
23/6/2008 08:29 | don't do tri's as I hate running and swimming!! what is your take on the Times article Davius? | cyclingnut
23/6/2008 08:20 | Shouldn't that be cut and cycle? Or are you a triathlete? | davius
23/6/2008 08:02 | Big question now has to be ...WILL WE EVER SEE OUR CASH BACK OR SHOULD I JUST CUT AND RUN? | cyclingnut
23/6/2008 07:51 | I did ask their broker about this extra money, he wasn't clear on it but thought that the loans were from LSB to LSIF, so it would be cash returned to LSB. Of course we have no way of knowing what it will be used for, but I'd have thought at least SOME of the £28.5m should have reduced the regulartory shortfall. | davius
22/6/2008 16:55 | wirral,scavengers at the gate! | hermana |
